  • Patent number: 9190770
Abstract: After passing through respective contact insertion holes 3A to 3E of a guide connector 3 and penetrating the substrate 110, the contacts 120 are inserted into a female housing 10. After the electrical connection between the contacts 120 and female contacts 20 are respectively established, a slider 1 is pressed down, which causes pressing pins 4 and 5 to press a first movable body 50 and a second movable body 60. With this, a lower stage 50L of the first movable body 50 and a lower stage 60L of the second movable body 60 detach from restriction beams 84 and 85. This allows springs 141 and 142 to extend, to move the first movable body 50 and the second movable body 60 away from the contacts 120.

  • Patent number: 9166333
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to prevent damages to a contact. A contact 130 having penetrated the substrate 110 is inserted into the female housing 30, and is electrically connected to a female contact 40. When the slider 1 is pressed down ward during this state, the first movable body 70 and the second movable body 80 are pressed down by the slider 1. This causes a lower stage 73 of the first movable body 70 and a lower stage 83 of the second movable body 80 to move below an upper wall 94 of the housing 90, and outer surfaces of the lower stages 73 and 83 no longer contact the upper wall 94. Then, expansion of a spring 120 moves the first movable body 70 and the second movable body 80 away from the contact 130.

  • Patent number: 9147971
Abstract: In an electrical connector, in a state in which an abutting portion of a support is abutted against a receiving face of a retainer or an inflator housing, if the connector housing is pressed toward the mating side and then released before being inserted into the retainer to a predetermined depth, then the connector housing is pressed back in the counter mating direction due to restoring force generated in the support. If the connector housing is pressed toward the mating side and inserted into the retainer to the predetermined depth, the abutting portion becomes displaced in the abutment cancelation direction so as to separate from the receiving face, and thus the connector housing is inserted into the retainer to the predetermined depth or more so as to be mated to the retainer, and electrical terminals become connected to squib terminals. Also, a squib connection device includes this electrical connector.

  • Patent number: 9071011
Abstract: An electrical connector of the present invention includes a housing, an electrical terminal, and a moving member that has a moving member body and a detection portion. The housing is provided with a first step portion, and the detection portion is provided with a second step portion. When the moving member is at a first position, the second step portion comes into contact with the first step portion so as to prevent the moving member from moving forward. When the mating portion is completely fitted into a retainer, the detection portion becomes displaced toward the counter mating side due to being pressed by the retainer or the inflator housing, and the second step portion becomes separated from the first step portion so as to permit the moving member to move forward. Also, a squib connection device of the present invention includes this electrical connector.

  • Patent number: 9017090
Abstract: An electrical connector of the present invention is configured such that when abutting portions of leg portions of a support member are abutted against receiving faces of jutting portions of a retainer, and a connector housing at a first position is pressed toward the mating side, an elastic member undergoes elastic deformation. If the connector housing does not reach a second position, the connector housing returns to the first position by elastic restoring force of the elastic member. If the connector housing reaches the second position, then the abutting portions move away from the receiving faces due to being pressed by pressing portions, the support member is pressed toward the mating side due to being subjected to the elastic restoring force of the elastic member, and the connector housing becomes relatively positioned at the first position. Also, a squib connection device of the present invention includes this electrical connector.

  • Patent number: 8968013
Abstract: A modular jack is composed of: a base connector installed on a printed circuit board, and a socket connector with a parallel crank mechanism at an extremity thereof, the parallel crank mechanism being slidably connected to the base connector and switching an upper housing between a raised state and a lowered state. When the upper housing is laid toward the front side of the socket connector, the socket connector can be housed inside the casing and both faces of the upper housing, the socket housing, and the base housing are made in a flat plate-like shape. This contributes to height reduction in the modular jack. The socket connector is configured such that, when the upper housing is pulled out from a side face of the casing and raised outside the casing, a plug can be electrically connected to the socket connector.
