Abstract: A back saddle is provided having a back bag member worn at the rear of the waist of a person. A knapsack is attached to said back saddle preferably at the top side of said back bag. Said back bag serves the knapsack as a bottom and as an attachment to the person. The knapsack is additionally fixed to the body of the person through shoulder belts.

Abstract: A device for compensating for variations caused by temperature variations, in the reading of a measuring apparatus comprising an aneroid capsule associated with a mechanical system comprising a connecting rod and crank pin. A bimetallic strip is arranged perpendicularly to the plane of the connecting rod and crank pin is of square section with two cylindrical ends, whereof one is engaged in an attachment pivot of the connecting rod and the other is mounted in a housing clamp integral with a support arranged parallel to the bimetallic strip and whereof the other end is fixed to the crank pin.

Abstract: A device for transmitting the condition of a switch comprising a first assembly consisting of a switch, a first pair of coils serially connected when the switch is closed, and a second assembly consisting of a second pair of coils, magnetically coupled to each other. A first coil of the second pair generates an alternating magnetic field. A detector is coupled to the second coil of the second pair for producing different outputs respectively when the second coil of the second pair is excited only from the field of the first coil of the second pair and when the second coil of the second pair is also excited from the second coil of the first pair.

Abstract: A yarn supply device for a rectilinear knitting machine capable of supplying the needles of the machine with a predetermined quantity of yarn irrespective of the speed of operation of the machine. The supply device comprises a yarn feed unit incorporating a drive member such as a pulley around which the yarn is wound in order to obtain positive drive engagement, the pulley being driven by an electric motor energized with an error signal derived from the output signal of a transducer sensitive to the actual displacement speed of the yarn feed device, and a signal representing the desired speed derived from the displacement and speed of a cam bar and thrower bar of the knitting machine. Arrangements are made for compensation in the error signal for the different stretch in the yarn in dependence on the position of the thrower with respect to a fixed yarn guide, and also for the inertia of the drive member of the yarn feed unit.

Abstract: A process for the bright-annealing and recrystallization of copper-zinc alloy articles consists of coating the articles with a solution of a synthetic resin and introducing the thus coated articles into an annealing furnace wherein the articles are subjected to recrystallization temperature.
