  • Patent number: 6615421
Abstract: The lavatory unit shown as a whole by reference number 1 comprises a box-shaped lavatory body 10 formed of panel material, which is positioned to an appropriate position on a floor panel 70 of an aircraft. A toilet unit 20 is fixed on a floor panel 110 inside the lavatory body 10, and a wash basin unit 30 is equipped to one side of said toilet unit 20. The lavatory body 10 stows a storage module 50 capable of being pulled out of and stowed again to the body 10. Said storage module 50 includes for example a closet for storing the coats and jackets of passengers etc. A state is shown where the closet 50 is pulled out of the lavatory body 10, expanding the lavatory unit. The space inside the lavatory is expanded, allowing the use of a bench 150 etc., thus improving the service provided to passengers. A part of the closet 50 being pulled out protrudes to the space in front of the aircraft door 80, but since this space is not used during flight, the space inside the aircraft is utilized efficiently.

  • Patent number: 6601627
Abstract: A device 1 for continuously manufacturing an FRP square pipe includes a core 10 having a long length for laminating prepreg sheets thereto, and prepreg sheets are supplied from prepreg-sheet laminating devices 20, 30, 40, and 50 to said core 10 covered with a release film, said laminated sheets laminated into the shape of a square pipe. Said core 10 has an outer diameter size smaller than the inner diameter size of the square pipe to be manufactured. A pre-expansion device 80 expands said laminated prepreg sheets to the shape of a square pipe having a predetermined inner diameter size, and a hot press device 100 heats and pressurizes the pipe. The pipe is then additionally heated in a postcure furnace 110 to complete the forming process. A pulling device 130 arranged downstream of a cramp device 120 pulls out said square pipe intermittently. A cutter not shown cuts said square pipe to produce the desired product.

  • Patent number: 6592795
Abstract: A continuous forming method and device for an H-shaped FRP member for forming semi-hardened preimpregnated members produced by impregnating thermosetting resin to carbon fiber or glass fiber and the like into a predetermined H-shape. The forming device comprises of a device for mounting a plural number of bobbins having strip-shaped preimpregnated material spooled thereto, providing tension when pulling the impregnated material out from the bobbin. The device the shapes the preimpregnated material to a predetermined H-shape that feeds release films from four sides of upper, lower, left and right. The device then provides heat and pressure to the preimpregnated material from said four sides with a heating furnace for after-curing the preimpregnated material. The device then hauls and holds the preimpregnated material for cutting the cured product.

  • Patent number: 6569371
Abstract: A method for forming a compound material by intermittently heating and pressurizing a composite material reinforced by fibers. The method is made up of a pinching step of pinching and fixing the upstream end and the downstream end of the composite material; a heating/pressurizing step of heating and pressurizing the pinched and fixed composite material intermittently; and a moving step of releasing the compound material and sending the material to the downstream direction after termination of the heating/pressurizing step; during the pinching step, tension toward the downstream advancing direction is provided to the downstream end of the composite material, and during the moving step, the amount of movement of the compound material at the downstream side is set to be greater than the amount of movement of the compound material at the upstream side, thereby straightening the fibers in the compound material linearly.
