  • Patent number: 11571704
Abstract: A handheld misting device has a housing having a dispensing window is arranged and configured to contain a sonic generator, a power source coupled to the sonic generator, a plurality of reservoirs, each containing a liquid, and a plurality of nozzles, each nozzle arranged and configured for removable coupling to the sonic generator. Each nozzle is associated with and in liquid communication with a single reservoir. The sonic generator includes a converter and an elongate horn having a proximal end coupled to the converter and a distal end, and the nozzle is removably coupled to the distal end of the horn. Thus, the device delivers the liquid through a delivery opening formed in the nozzle, and activating the sonic generator energizes the liquid in the nozzle to generate an aerosol plume that is delivered through the dispensing window.

  • Patent number: 11548019
Abstract: A device for dispensing a fluid topical composition includes a reservoir storing the composition and dispensing a pressurized flow of the composition. The device also includes an accumulator having an expandable chamber in fluidly communication with the reservoir. The chamber is biased towards a deflated configuration so that, when filled with the composition the chamber expands against this bias applying pressure to the composition stored therein. The device includes a supply valve regulating the flow of the composition from the reservoir to the accumulator, and a pressure sensor. The device further includes a processing arrangement analyzing data from the sensor to determine whether pressure in the accumulator is above a predetermined threshold and controlling the supply valve to maintain the pressure within a desired pressure range. The device also includes a deposition arrangement dispensing the composition from the accumulator under control of the processing arrangement.

  • Patent number: 11517483
Abstract: High-speed methods to close tubular plastic wrappers may include providing a packaging film on a mandrel in the form of a hollow tube, forming a folded surface by rotating the hollow tube and mandrel while counter-rotating a plate having a plurality of folding blades, to form a plurality of folds that define the folded surface, substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the hollow tube, each folding blade engaging a portion of the protruding tube portion, applying heat and pressure to the folded surface to form a closed end, inserting the tampon into the tube, and closing the first end of the tube. The film material comprises at least one thermoplastic surface, and the mandrel has a first end extending from a revolving platform and a second end, distal the first end. The mandrel can rotate with respect to the revolving platform on which it is mounted.

  • Patent number: 11509755
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method and means for enabling contact lens wearers to photograph their own eyes using an electronic device with a camera such as an iPhone with a macro lens, for example, Olloclip® Macro Pro Lens Set 7× lens, and a custom three-dimensional printed eyecup attachment. The eyecup attachment is designed to position the camera at a suitable and reproducible distance from the eye to ensure that the system can focus appropriately on the lens details. The eyecup attachment also serves to block stray light and diffuse the ambient lighting. In addition, the eyecup attachment ensures that the camera is held in the correct orientation while photos are being captured. The capture images are analyzed using image processing software to determine the angel of rotation of the contact lens.
