A prescribed diameter difference is set such that when a magnitude of power transmitted between a first screw groove and a second screw groove is a prescribed value or less, only the large-diameter rolling elements transmit the power between the first screw groove and the second screw groove, and when the magnitude of the power transmitted between the first screw groove and the second screw groove exceeds the prescribed value, both the large-diameter rolling elements and the small-diameter rolling elements transmit the power.

    Abstract: The microcomputer calculates a first assist component based on a vehicle speed value and a steering torque, calculates a rotation angle command value based on at least the vehicle speed value and a first assist component, and calculates a second assist component by adjusting a rotation angle to the rotation angle command value through feedback control. The microcomputer sets a limited state 1 where the second assist component is disabled when a vehicle is stationary. During an abnormality determination period during which the vehicle speed value is determined to be abnormal, the microcomputer sets the vehicle speed value to a provisional vehicle speed value. Further, in a limited state 2 that is set when the vehicle is stationary during the abnormality determination period, the microcomputer calculates the first assist component based on a provisional vehicle speed value, and disables the second assist component.

    Abstract: A tilt device includes: a drive motor that provides a drive force for swinging a tilt member; an auxiliary cylinder coupled to the tilt member to assist swing of the tilt member by the drive motor; and a control device that performs drive control of the drive motor and the auxiliary cylinder. In the movable range of the tilt member, a moment about the swing axis generated in the tilt member by the gravitational force is always directed to only one side in the rotational direction, and an assistive moment about the swing axis provided to the tilt member by a cylinder pressure is always directed to only the other side in the rotational direction. The control device fluctuates the cylinder pressure such that the assistive moment is less than the moment generated in the tilt member by the gravitational force.
