  • Patent number: 8439788
Abstract: In a vehicle differential unit according to an embodiment of the invention, a planetary carrier that is a rotatable member that rotatably supports planetary gears is formed of cylindrical members that are unable to rotate relative to each other on the rotational axis of a pair of output shafts. The vehicle differential unit has a thrust force generation portion that receives a driving force from a drive source of a vehicle and generates a thrust force along the direction of the rotational axis of the pair of output shafts, and a relative movement limiting portion that limits a relative movement between the cylindrical members along the axial direction due to the thrust force when the vehicle is in the drive mode.

  • Publication number: 20130116851
Abstract: In a thermal displacement compensating device and a thermal displacement compensating method for a machine tool, a block temperature obtaining section obtains temperatures of respective blocks based on temperature information detected by temperature sensors wherein temperatures in each of the respective blocks into which a column is divided to be pluralized are defined as a uniform value. An FEM analysis section performs a structural analysis by a finite element method based on the temperatures of the respective blocks obtained by the block temperature obtaining section and infers thermal displacement amounts of the column. A compensation value calculation section calculates a compensation value for a machining command position based on the thermal displacement amounts of the column inferred by the FEM analysis section. A compensation section compensates the machining command position by the compensation value obtained by the compensation value calculation section.

  • Publication number: 20130116890
Abstract: A steering angle detecting unit, a reaction force actuator that applies steering reaction force to a steering member, a yaw angle detecting unit that detects a yaw angle of a vehicle body, and a reaction force actuator control unit that sets the steering reaction force as a function of a steering angle and that controls the reaction force actuator such that the reaction force actuator generates the set steering reaction force, are provided. The reaction force actuator control unit computes a turning angle of the vehicle body on the basis of a change in the yaw angle of the vehicle body, detected by the yaw angle detecting unit. When the computed turning angle is larger than or equal to a reference angle, the steering reaction force applied to the steering member is increased.

  • Publication number: 20130116891
Abstract: In a material handling vehicle such as an electric forklift, a depression amount of an accelerator pedal that provides an instruction on a control amount of a drive motor for driving a drive wheel is detected. When the depression amount of the accelerator pedal is equal to or larger than a predetermined value and a forward-backward switching signal that indicates that a shift lever is operated is received, a drive current for a steered system motor is set to a value smaller than a normal drive current within a predetermined time period that starts upon reception of the forward-backward switching signal.

Abstract: Three links (40) within one width-direction unit (54) are included in respectively different link units (46). The links in the first row and the sixth row from the right end and the left end of a chain are included in the same link unit (first link unit 46-1). The links in the second row and the fifth row are included in the same link unit (second link unit 46-2). The links in the ninth row and the tenth row are included in the same link unit other than the link unit in which the links in the second row and the fifth row are included (first link unit 46-1 or third link unit 46-3). • Publication number: 20130108201
Abstract: A wheel bearing device includes an inner shaft and an inner ring member fitted onto an outer periphery of an axially-inner end portion of the inner shaft. A shaft portion coupled to the inner shaft so as to be rotatable together with the inner shaft is inserted in a center hole of the inner shaft. Spline grooves spline-fitted to spline teeth formed on an outer periphery of the shaft portion are formed in an inner periphery of the inner shaft, which defines the center hole. An annular clearance that suppresses reduction in a diameter of the inner shaft due to fitting of the inner ring member onto the inner shaft is formed between the inner ring member and the axially-inner end portion of the inner shaft, within a range where an axial range in which the spline teeth are formed overlaps with an axial range of the inner ring member.

  • Publication number: 20130109515
Abstract: A chain is formed by coupling chain elements including plate-shape links arranged in the width direction of the chain and pins (42) extending through the links in the width direction of the chain, in the circumferential direction of the chain. The pin (42) is clamped between two opposing substantially conical surfaces 24 and 26 of a pulley (12). The deformation ratio of the pin length when the pin is clamped by the pulley is set to be 1.3×10?6 (1/N) or greater. The deformation ratio of the pin length is represented by (deformation ratio)=?L/(F×L), wherein L indicates a length of the pin, F indicates a load applied to the pin, and ?L indicates a deformation quantity. Thus, noise of a chain-type continuously variable transmission in the frequency band of 3 to 5 kHz can be reduced.
