Abstract: If a B system microcomputer is reset and reactivated while an A system microcomputer is operating normally, tasks of the A system microcomputer and tasks of the B system microcomputer can be synchronized. The B system microcomputer is reset when voltage applied to a battery decreases and falls below an operation guarantee voltage. Thereafter, when the applied voltage becomes equal to or higher than the operation guarantee voltage and the B system microcomputer is activated, the B system microcomputer outputs a request signal for requesting a synchronization signal to the A system microcomputer. The A system microcomputer outputs the synchronization signal synchronized with a periodic task. The B system microcomputer determines an execution timing of the periodic task based on the synchronization signal.

Abstract: A motor control unit includes a PWM count calculator, a PWM count setter, and a PWM count changer. The PWM count calculator calculates first PWM counts of phases. Each first PWM count is calculated for a current control period. The PWM count setter sets the first PWM count of each phase as a second PWM count of a corresponding phase. The second PWM count is set for each of PWM periods included in the current control period. The PWM count changer changes the second PWM count of at least one of the phases, without changing the total of the second PWM counts of the at least one phase within the current control period, such that the number of times switching elements corresponding to the at least one phase are switched within the current control period is reduced.

  • Patent number: 10577014
Abstract: Provided is a steering control apparatus in which the response of steering assistance to driver's steering can be improved during execution of rotation angle sensor-less control. When the rotation angle sensor-less control is executed and when an induced voltage value is equal to or lower than a threshold voltage, driving of a motor is controlled based on a second addition angle. The second addition angle is calculated such that values obtained by multiplying a first pre-addition angle calculated based on a steering torque and a second pre-addition angle calculated based on an induced voltage derivative by respective predetermined use ratios that are based on the induced voltage value are added together. By using the second addition angle, a more appropriate estimated electrical angle is calculated in response to a driver's steering situation.

  • Patent number: 10577015
Abstract: Provided is a steering control apparatus capable of executing driving assistance control even during rotation angle sensor-less control. When an induced voltage generated in a motor is equal to or lower than a threshold voltage at an early stage of execution of the rotation angle sensor-less control and when the driving assistance control is executed based on a command value from a higher-level control apparatus, a second pre-addition angle that is based on the command value is used as a second addition angle in place of a first pre-addition angle that is based on a steering torque. Therefore, even in a situation in which the steering torque is not detected due to, for example, execution of driving assistance, an estimated electrical angle of the motor is calculated by integrating the second addition angle. Then, driving of the motor is controlled based on the calculated estimated electrical angle.

  • Publication number: 20200062294
Abstract: A controller includes a control circuit configured to calculate a target corresponding steered angle that is a target value of a corresponding steered angle based on the transmission ratio associated with the vehicle speed. The corresponding steered angle is a rotation angle of a rotation shaft, which is convertible to the steered angle whose magnitude is changed relative to a value indicating the steering angle. The control circuit is configured to control the actuation of the motor so that an actual corresponding steered angle is a final target corresponding steered angle that is based on the target corresponding steered angle. The control circuit is configured to calculate the target corresponding steered angle by adjusting the transmission ratio based on a value indicating acceleration or deceleration of a vehicle.
