Abstract: A birdcage watering device is provided with a no-spill valve and method of attachment. The watering device comprises a valve attached to a water chamber comprising an extended leg such that when the watering device is completely assembled the valve may be displaced to fill trough. Particularly, the extended leg of the valve produces an angled opening to permit flow of water from the water chamber without clogging or getting “stuck” in the valve opening. The water chamber is easily removed for refilling and the valve is designed to prevent the spilling of water during the process. A method of attachment is also described that allows the device to be on the outside of the birdcage while being secured from the inside of the cage, thus allowing for easy refilling of the water chamber of the device.
Abstract: A birdcage is disclosed that includes a collapsible cage having an opening adapted to be coupled to a support wherein the support is adapted to support at least one of a feeder and a waterer so that a bird in the cage may be provided at least one of food and water while being blocked from exiting the cage via the opening. The birdcage also includes a base adapted to receive and support the cage, wherein the base includes side walls that extend out beyond a perimeter of the cage and are flared upwardly and outwardly relative to the cage so as to be disposed to catch debris expelled from within the cage.

Abstract: A fastener for the suspension of a birdcage toy or the like has a first end terminating in a first loop, and a second end terminating in a second loop, each of the first and second loops terminating in a free end that allows for easy attachment of objects to the loops. An additional section is defined between the loop free ends to assist in preventing the free ends from deflecting outward, resulting in possible inadvertent detachment from the cage or retained object.
Abstract: A lightweight perch formed from plastic, wood or the like, has, in one embodiment, an outer surface on which is applied a granular material such as sand or the like. An adhesive or solvent may be used to apply the granular material to the perch. The resultant perch duplicates the healthy, stimulative effects of expensive concrete and sand perches at a tremendously reduced weight and cost. In another embodiment, a perch is formed from a plurality of parts of dissimilar materials that are joined together through the entrainment of one material from one part into the other material from the other part.

Abstract: Birdcage attachments are mountable to a birdcage and present a bird with a variety of interesting and challenging activities. The toy attachments encourage birds to learn by experimenting. As a bird manipulates some parts of the toy attachments, the bird will discover that the parts may be put into different positions and remain there until deciding to move them again. In most cases, the parts will not automatically return to their original state or position if the bird stops playing, challenging a bird even more to return the toy to its original state.
