Abstract: A highly entertaining game apparatus wherein three-dimensional toy bodies and a game machine are combined and characters corresponding to the toy bodies are displayed on a monitor comprises a game main unit 3, a robot toy 5 connected to the game main unit 3, a monitor 9 for displaying a character corresponding to the robot toy 5, a controller 11 for controlling movements of the character displayed on the monitor 9, a principal robot part (body part 21) of the robot toy 5 and a plurality of robot parts (arm parts 23, 25, leg part 27) removably attached to the principal robot part. The principal robot part has non-volatile memory in which self-related data is stored and each of the robot parts has an identification part for identifying itself.

Abstract: A molding process includes forming a primary molded product having interlocking projections and holes in a primary mold. The product is transferred into a secondary mold having interlocking grooves and pins, and secured therein by the engagement of the projections and holes of the product with the grooves and pins, respectively, of the secondary mold. A secondary molded product containing the primary molded product as an insert is formed without having any undesirable displacement of the insert caused by the injection of a molding material at a high pressure. An appropriate molding apparatus is also disclosed.

Abstract: A molding apparatus includes a movable mold-defining member mounted on the movable side of an injection machine and a stationary mold-defining member mounted on its stationary side. Those members are joinable to define a mold cavity and a runner channel therebetween. The movable mold-defining member is provided with a dividing member for dividing the runner channel, or cavity, or both into a plurality of portions. The dividing member is normally urged by an elastic member to project into the channel, or cavity. The dividing member has one side which is substantially perpendicular to the direction of flow of a molding resin material to stop its flow past the dividing member, and an opposite side cut away partly to form a recess at one end thereof, so that another molding resin material reaching the opposite side may flow into the recess and thereby move said dividing member out of the channel, or cavity by overcoming the force of the elastic member.

Abstract: Toy top spinner which uses a toy top body as a spinning wheel to accelerate the spinning speed of the spinning wheel easily, and an adapter used with the spinner to spin toy tops having slightly different diameters. The spinner has its body equipped with a brake in addition to the spinning wheel. The rotor is formed with hook means. Between the spinning wheel and the rotor, there is interposed a gear train which is equipped with an idle gear. The brake includes a braking member and a braked member mounted on the axle of the rotor. The adapter device can be removably mounted on the rotor and has its body formed with a hook member inside of the hook means of the rotor.

Abstract: A toy top which can also be used as a badge, and a drive unit which can mechanically spin the toy top with ease in a simple manner. The toy top has first engaging portions on the upper surface of the main body thereof, a first hook portion on the outer periphery thereof and a central spindle about which a knob is removably screw-fitted. The toy top comprises a main body having first engaging portions, a first hook portion and a central spindle screw-fitted with a knob while the drive unit comprises a rotatable member having second engaging portions to engage the first engaging portions of the toy top, a spring for rotating the rotatable member, a second hook portion to engage the second hook portion of the toy top and operating member for releasing the engagement of the second hook portion with the first hook portion of the toy top. Further, some modifications of the structures of the toy top and the drive unit are also disclosed.

Abstract: A game apparatus which displays contending characters appearing in a match with punch. The whole broad region forming the background is effectively displayed, thus increasing the fun. The apparatus comprises a ROM, a reading means, a display control means, and a position display means. As the characters move, the reading means successively detects the background pictures containing the characters and reads the detected background pictures from the ROM. The display control means displays the plural background pictures for the characters on a single screen. The position display means displays the positional relation between the characters on the screen.

Abstract: A toy robot which can make realistic movement of boxing. The robot has plural driver devices each having an electric motor. The robot has arms driven by the driver devices. The driver devices are remotely controlled to operate the arms. The robot has a waist and a pillar protruding upward from this waist. One of the driver devices rotates the trunk through a given angle against the action of a return spring. One arm is held to a pivot mounted at one shoulder portion such that the arm can rotate laterally. An operating member is mounted to the pivot. As the trunk turns, the operating member pushes the underside of the bearing portion of the arm. The other arm can be bent at its elbow and consists of an upper arm and a forearm which are joined together by a link. When the upper arm is directed forward, the upper arm and the forearm are made substantially straight. Another driver device rotates the upper arm forwardly from below.

Abstract: A tears-shedding device for a doll includes a tank, an L-shaped opening extension disposed at the lower portion of the tank via a spherical inlet valve, for each eye of the doll a perspective convex-shaped eye extension disposed at one side of the tank via a similarly spherical outlet valve, a press pump mounted at another side of the tank, and a press mechanism for the press pump, the aforesaid opening extension being mounted in a mouth of the doll, each of the aforesaid eye extensions being mounted in a respective eye of the doll.

Abstract: An ignition system comprising a metal plate having a pyrogen on one side thereof, a turning shaft journalled by the plate, and a sparking wheel secured to the shaft. A flint is supported by the plate and pressed against the wheel. An opening is formed in the plate adjacent the wheel, and a screen is formed on the plate adjacent the opening. The screen deflects sparks through the opening to the pyrogen, and the screen is preferably angled to efficiently deflect the sparks. The igniter is mounted in a self-heating container for heating food or a liquid.

Abstract: A keyboard including a plurality of key switches and a plurality of keys mounted slidably on the keyboard over the key switches, each key overlying one of the key switches and the top of each key provided with a marking, upon each key being depressed into engagement with the underlying key switch, the key switch being operated to provide an indication of the marking provided on the top of the depressed key, and the number of plurality of keys being less in number by one than that of the key switches to provide a vacant key space on the keyboard to allow the keys to slide freely two-dimensionally over the key switches and through the vacent key space to permit each key to be slid over and overlie each of the key switches in a pattern as desired.

Abstract: An omnidirectional toy vehicle has: a plurality of bearing members rotatively mounted on a chassis, each bearing member bearing an associated drive wheel and having a hollow portion at the center thereof along the whole length thereof; a steering mechanism including a stepping mechanism constructed of Geneva gears and a ratchet mechanism and being coupled to the bearing members in unison; and a drive mechanism including a power transmission mechanism for driving the drive wheels through the hollow portions of the plurality of bearing members. The outer, opposite sides of each wheel may be colored differently to indicate the direction of movement of the vehicle.

Abstract: An ornamental article for window display is constructed of first and second hollow ornamental article sections to be mounted on a transparent member, the two sections being cut and divided at any plane surface of the body of the ornamental article. Each ornamental article section includes a boss formed within the hollow ornamental article section, the boss being formed therein with a first threaded portion along its longitudinal axis extending substantially perpendicular to the end surface of the divided section, and an attachment unit having a sucking device and a shaft formed integrally therewith, the shaft being formed outside thereof with a second threaded portion which meshes with the first threaded portion.

Abstract: A drive wheel has a power spring within a drum housing formed on one side of the casing. The drive wheel includes a sun gear and a fixed pinion rotatably mounted about a shaft of the sun gear, the power spring being coupled between the sun gear and the fixed position of the drum housing. The fixed gear is fixedly connected to the vehicle body and the sun gear is rotatably mounted centrally of the casing. Spring winding and release gear trains are mounted in cooperative association with the sun gear and fixed pinion and provided with respective shift gears movable generally in the radial direction or perpendicular direction to the rotation of the shaft. An idle gear always meshing with the shift gear of the spring winding gear train is provided.
