  • Patent number: 4586911
Abstract: A transformable toy vehicle capable of being converted into a toy robot is provided. The converted toy robot gives no impression of the original outer appearance of the toy vehicle, because of the folding operation of the front and rear compartments. The transformable toy vehicle includes a body, a chassis, pivotal members, and wheel support members. The body includes front, middle, and rear compartments. The chassis supports the front and rear compartments and mounts thereupon the vehicle wheels. The front and rear compartments can be rotated about the pivotal member relative to each other to form a trunk body of the toy robot, and the middle compartment is mounted upon the pivotal member to form a head portion of the toy robot.

  • Patent number: 4571203
Abstract: A form-convertible toy robot comprises a body including a head, arms, shoulders, thighs, and legs. The head has a robot face on one surface thereof and a predetermined portion of the form on the other surface thereof. The arms with shoulders are mounted rotatably of the body and are in frictional engagement with the body. The thighs are mounted on the body either in fixed relation to the body or in rotational relation to the body. The legs are mounted on the thighs for rotational or slidable movement relative to the thighs. The toy robot can be converted into another form, such as a toy car, motorcycle, helicopter, tank or the like.

  • Patent number: 4504167
Abstract: A releasable joint structure comprises an engaging device, first and second biasing members, a receiving plate, a guide rod, and a stopper member. The engaging device is inserted into a main hole formed on the receiving plate in order to push back a plate member provided on the second biasing member against the force exerted thereby. The receiving plate is then pushed laterally relative to the engaging device by a force exerted by the first biasing member, until the engagement between the plate member and the stopper member is obtained. The engaging member in this condition is pivotally supported on the peripheral of the side hole. When it is required to remove the engaging device out of the receiving plate, the guide rod is operated to attain the engagement between the plate member and the stopper member. The engagement device is then automatically pushed out of the receiving plate.

  • Patent number: 4477999
Abstract: A transformable toy vehicle is presented which can assume the form of two extraordinarily different appearances from each other by converting the mutual arrangement of particular elements constituting the toy vehicle. The toy vehicle comprises a chassis capable of being extended and contracted along the longitudinal direction of the car, a rear body of the car mounted on the chassis for turning upside down and reversing front and rear faces to assume two different outer appearances for top and rear faces and for bottom and front faces, respectively, and a seat member mounted generally centrally on the chassis for moving vertically and horizontally relative to the chassis.
