  • Patent number: 4960110
Abstract: It is the bed-typed massaging apparatus which consists of the framed basic body of bed possible to bend by the coupler on the both sides of the longer direction, the rails possible to bend set in parallel on the both sides of the basic body, the driving device which drives the driving belt installed the roller for massaging along the rails, the adjusting device for tensioning the belt set at one side of the above-mentioned basic body, the tension unit set at another side of the basic body and the position detecting device of the roller for massaging. The roller for massaging goes and returns usually on the rail by the motion of the driving device. It is possible to massage the whole body lying down with the face upward. We utilize it as a chair at the bending situation, the rail maintained on the framed basic body made of the pipe is possible to massage partially without bending the rails.

  • Patent number: 4947833
Abstract: A bed-type massaging apparatus having an elongate frame with a middle hinge so that the frame divides the bed into two parts which can be folded one over onto the other. A pair of roller-type massaging devices are supported on each of the frame halves and include rollers which extend transversely of the bed. Rotatable drive shafts extend transversely adjacent opposite ends of the bed and have drive wheels on the ends thereof joined together by endless driving belts or chains which extend longitudinally along opposite sides of the bed. These chains join to carriages associated with the massaging devices so that the massaging devices can be simultaneously moved in a pattern whereby they are simultaneously moved inwardly toward the center of the bed and then outwardly away from the center of the bed. A single drive motor is provided for driving one of the shafts.

  • Patent number: 4924535
Abstract: An apparatus positionable within a bathtub for discharging a jet stream of warm water, as sucked from the bathtub, having air bubbles mixed therein to cleanse and massage a part of the human body. The apparatus includes a main body for emitting the jet stream and a source of electricity positioned outside the bathtub. The main body is set directly within the bathtub. The pumping mechanism within the main body sucks liquid from the bathtub through an inlet and through a special filter, sucks the surrounding environment through an air inlet, mixes these within a mixing part, and discharges the mixture through an emitting nozzle as a high-speed jet stream. The emitted mixed fluid is discharged directly to a part of the bathing human body to massage and stimulate the body. The stimulus upon explosion of the included bubbles makes it possible to cleanse the body part efficiently.

  • Patent number: 4899403
Abstract: A bed base having first and second members which are of generally U-shaped configuration so as to slidably telescope together to permit expansion or contraction of the bed base in the lengthwise direction. Locking mechanisms coact between the telescoping legs to lock the bed base in the selected expanded or contracted position. A sheetlike cover is anchored at one end of the bed base and extends along the upper surface thereof towards the other end, at which point an intermediate part of the cover wraps downwardly around a guide drum and then projects reversely toward the other end of the bed base. The lower free end edge of the cover is connected to a compensating mechanism which adjusts the cover length, namely by moving the cover upwardly or downwardly around the guide drum, so that the upper section of the cover always stretches tautly across the upper surface of the bed base irrespective of the adjusted expanded or contracted position.
