  • Patent number: 5391843
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to accurately measure a carrying weight of a vehicle on the basis of a force applied to suspension cylinders and allow an operator to accurately recognize the weight. A first force applied to a front wheel suspension cylinder of a vehicle carrying a load can be obtained on the basis of detection values of pressure sensors (2a, 3a, 2b, 3b), and a second force applied to a rear wheel suspension cylinder can be obtained on the basis of detection values of pressure sensors (2c, 3c, 2d, 3d). An inclination O of the vehicle in the longitudinal direction is detected by an inclinometer (8), and the first and the second force are corrected in accordance with this inclination O. Further, the first and the second force are corrected in accordance with the magnitudes of the first and the second force to thereby obtain the weights of the vehicles on the front wheel side and the rear wheel side.

  • Patent number: 5359517
Abstract: An operator's actions for achieving a desired operation of a machine's actuator can be memorized in a teaching mode and the memorized information can be used for automatically reproducing the desired operation in a play back mode, to alleviate the operator's burden. A failure in the play back mode caused by the difference in the conditions under which the play back mode and the teaching mode are conducted can be eliminated, and the operation can be allowed to be continued in the manual mode even if a failure occurs in an automated operation control system. In order to achieve these, when a correction operation by the operator is detected in the play back mode, the play back mode is interrupted and the correction operation is processed with priority to the play back operation.

  • Patent number: 5355734
Abstract: The present invention is intended to facilitate prediction of the life of a structure, such as a frame of a dump truck and so forth without requiring cumbersome calculations. A gauge (2, 3 or 4) for predicting a life of a structure comprises a gauge main body of a thin plate form having annular ring portions (5, 6) of substantially the same configuration at both ends and a strip-like connecting portion (7) integrally connecting the annular ring portions and formed with V-shaped cut-outs (8, 8) at the intermediate portion in opposition to each other. The gauge main body has a shorter life than the life of the structure (1) to be predicted. A crack gauge is fitted between the mutually opposing cut-outs. The gauge is fixed on a predetermined position on the structure by way of welding or so forth. A breaking time of the gauge can be obtained from a variation of a measured resistance of the crack gauge. Based on the breaking period, the life of the structure (1) is predicted.

  • Patent number: 5354525
Abstract: The present invention relates to an improvement in an injection and compression molding apparatus and a method therefor which comprises the steps of supplying molten resin by injecting it into a cavity formed by molds and compressing the resin by applying pressure. In consideration of problems with respect to the occurrence of sink marks in molded products and the deterioration in precision which are caused by the escape of resin during compression and a change in the cavity distance between two molds, the present invention provides an injection and compression molding apparatus and a molding method therefor which is capable of resolving the problems and stably producing molded products with good productivity. In the present invention, a gate is closed during compression, and a supplemental amount of resin can be injected after the compression step so as to supply the desired amount of resin in the molded article.
