    Abstract: An impact ripper (2) mounted on the rear portion of a construction machine, such as a bulldozer (1), for digging a hard soil layer is automatically controlled to reduce the operator's fatigue, to improve operability with regard to the posture of the impact ripper during operation of its vibrating mechanism (3), and to prevent breakdown of the impact ripper caused by wasteful striking. A vehicle tractive force and a vehicle speed required by digging resistance applied to a blade end (2a) of the impact ripper (2) are detected and signals obtained from the detections are inputted to a controller (4). When an automatic strike switch is on, an activating signal is outputted from the controller (4) to the vibrating mechanism (3) of the impact ripper (2) regardless of a vehicle body tractive force when a vehicle speed is less than a predetermined value.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a method of controlling torch height in plasma cutting arranged to monitor the cutting speed so that the optimum torch height is maintained and an excellent cutting quality is obtained even if the cutting speed changes. To this end, a base metal (2) is cut by a plasma arc (3) while a torch (1) is maintained at an optimum height (hc) from the base metal (2), and arc voltage (Vi) is read several times (i=1 to n) after the arc voltage becomes steady, their mean arc voltage (Vb) is calculated, a cutting speed (Fa) is read at the time of steady cutting, the means arc voltage (Vb) is corrected by this cutting speed (Fa) to obtain a target arc voltage (Vc) and the optimum height (hc) is maintained by this target arc voltage (Vc).

The thin film EL element according to the present invention uses a luminous layer of zinc sulphide containing nitrogen, so that transitional luminescence occurs among a plurality of levels, and hence rays of light having various wavelengths are emitted to thereby provide white light containing three primary colors.

The lever (48) is rocked rightwardly or leftwardly, and pressure oil supplied through the pilot valve (420) actuates a rotary direction changing valve (25). When the lever (48) is rocked backwardly, the change valve (421) switches the direction in which the pressure oil is supplied through the pilot valve (420) to the reverse direction.

For this purpose, the pump discharge amount and the amounts of flow supplied to the actuators which are present during the teaching are stored. During playback, when the load has varied, and the pump discharge has changed, the engine output is controlled in such a manner that the actual pump discharge becomes equal to the amount stored during the teaching.

The press brake accurately bends the plate based on the thus derived quantity of crowing to be adjusted and the present position assumed by the movable table without an occurrence of malfunction of so-called intermediate opening of the bent plate.
