Abstract: A method of fabricating a semiconductor device includes forming a resist pattern so that an opening between select gates of a select gate transistor is formed in a memory cell region, implanting threshold-adjusting ions under the select gate with the resist pattern serving as a mask and removing an oxide film, forming a nitride film and an interlayer insulation film after the resist pattern has been removed, forming a resist pattern used to form a contact hole between the select gates and a contact hole for a transistor to be formed in the peripheral circuit region, the transistor having a higher breakdown voltage than a memory cell transistor and etching the interlayer insulation film, the nitride film and the gate insulation film individually with the resist pattern serving as a mask.
Abstract: A digital home electronic device is provided with a storing unit for storing correspondence data formed by corresponding sets of commands corresponding to classification informations for classifying a plurality of commands according to prescribed criteria, and a target device information indicating a target device which enables the digital home electronic device to execute the commands, and a command execution judgement unit for judging whether or not to execute a received command, according to the received command, a source information indicating a device which is a source of the received command, and the correspondence data, by judging whether the source information and the target device information corresponding to the received command coincide or not.
Abstract: A recording data string is composed of a plurality of synchronous frames each of which has synchronous data and coding data. Data items in the coding data contributed to creation of the same column of the error correction code are arranged at regular intervals of E in the recording data string. A data segment length L is obtained by adding an additional synchronous frame to the recording data string. Wherein, a physical segment length A satisfies the equation L=mA, m is a natural number. And A is set indivisible by E.

Abstract: A USB terminal having a conductor layer to be an input/output terminal of a USB connector is formed on a first principle surface of a circuit board. A memory element is mounted on a second principle surface at an opposite side of a terminal forming surface of the circuit board, and the memory element is sealed with a sealing resin. A semiconductor memory device as a USB memory main body is constituted by them. A USB memory is constituted by housing the USB memory main body inside of a USB connector case.
Abstract: A paper post handling device includes a stapler to receive a paper image-formed by an image forming apparatus and perform a stapling process. The stapler is controlled so as to move in parallel with a front end of the paper outside a paper width at a predetermined distance from a neighborhood of a center of a paper width, then rotate in a less than 45° arc, moreover move outside the paper width, and perform the stapling process at a desired position.
Abstract: A paper sheet conveying apparatus has a conveying belt which moves and conveys a paper sheet, a detection sensor which detects the amount of displacement of the conveying belt from a reference position while moving, and a control device which drives the conveying belt at a low speed when a new device is installed as a conveying belt and initially started up, and after the low-speed driving, variably controls the speed of the conveying belt based on the amount of displacement of the conveying belt detected by the detection sensor.
Abstract: To provide a method and apparatus for a plurality of applications including position determination, there is provided a radio communication device comprising a positioning member configured to determine a position of the radio communication device, an antenna, a receiver connected to the antenna, a controller connected to the receiver and the positioning member, configured to receive a demand for the position by way of the antenna and the receiver while running an application, and configured to stop the application and to have the positioning member determine the position in a case where the demand and the application are given a first rank and a second rank respectively and the first rank precedes the second rank.

Abstract: Image control involves receiving source images defined with respect to respective source coordinate systems from source image generators also respectively associated with source IDs. The source images are composed to generate a composite image defined with respect to a composed coordinate system, and the composed image is sent to a viewer which displays the composed image and outputs an HID signal which indicates information defined with respect to the composed coordinate system. A layout manager stores source IDs respectively associated with layout information including position and size of at least one of the source images. An image composer composes the source images according to the layout information. An analyzer analyzes the HID signal for editing layout information stored in the layout manager, and determines a source ID associated with a source image according to the edited layout information.
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a capturing apparatus includes a capturing unit configured to capture a moving image video, a storage unit configured to store the moving image video captured by the capturing unit, an operation unit configured to include a plurality of keys used to instruct playback of the moving image video stored in the storage unit, a skip playback unit configured to play back the moving image video while skipping the moving image video at predetermined time intervals every time a predetermined operation is made on the operation unit, and a playback control unit configured to switch the time intervals skipped by the skip playback unit based on the total playback time period of the moving image video.
Abstract: Disclosed is a semiconductor device including a memory cell array, word lines, bit lines, and a signal difference determination circuit. In the memory cell array, memory cells each formed by connecting a MOS transistor and resistor in series are arranged in a matrix. The word lines are connected to the gates of the MOS transistors of the memory cells in the same row of the memory cell array. The bit lines are provided so as to correspond to the columns of the memory cell array. Each bit line is connected to one terminal of a corresponding one of the resistors of the memory cells in the same column. The signal difference determination circuit compares two output signals read to two bit lines from a pair of memory cells, thereby determining stored information in the pair of memory cells.

Abstract: On an optical disk, video object sets (VTST_VOBS) to be reproduced and video title set information (VTSI) serving as management information on the video object sets have been stored. In each video object set (VTST_VOBS), many data cells, each containing video, audio, and sub-picture data, are arranged. Management information on programs chains, which are combinations of programs to be reproduced one after another, has been written in a video title set PGC table (VTS_PGCIT). By referring to the program chain table (VTS_PGCIT) according to the user's input, the playback order of program chains can be changed, enabling the program chains to be reproduced one after another in various modes.

Abstract: An X-ray CT apparatus includes an X-ray detector that is asymmetrically disposed with respect to an irradiation axis of an X-ray and first and second ends that are disposed close to and far from the irradiation axis of the X-ray, respectively. When a scanogram of an object is imaged in one direction only, a part of the object at the first end is missed. Accordingly, scanograms are imaged in first and second directions that are opposite to each other, and then the imaged scanograms are superimposed. The superimposed scanogram is used as an image for setting a scanning range. According to this configuration, although a scanogram is produced by an X-ray CT apparatus having an asymmetrically disposed X-ray detector, it is possible to produce a desired projection data by obtaining scanogram data in the opposite two directions and combining each data. As a result, the accuracy in setting of a scanning position is not deteriorated.
