    Abstract: Disclosed is a process for the recovery of antimony pentachloride from catalyst solutions used in the fluorination of chlorinated hydrocarbons characterized in that the exhausted catalyst solution containing antimony ions and high boiling halogenated hydrocarbons is chlorinated to convert the Sb.sup.3.sup.+ to Sb.sup.5.sup.+ followed by treatment of the solution with hydrogen fluoride to give SbCl.sub.x F.sub.y compounds, wherein x is 4-2 and y is 1-3, the sum of x+y being 5, and to convert the high boiling halogenated hydrocarbons to lower boiling halogenated hydrocarbons, thereafter removing the halogenated hydrocarbons having a lower boiling temperature than the boiling point of SbCl.sub.x F.sub.y and converting the remaining SbCl.sub.x F.sub.y compound with carbon tetrachloride to form antimony pentachloride which is thereafter separated from the remaining organic compounds and inorganic residue.

    Abstract: Calcined alkali phosphates of high citrate solubility are made by subjecting natural calcium phosphates including tricalcium phosphate to a thermal decomposition with an aqueous alkali hydroxide solution in a revolving furnace at 900.degree. to 1300.degree.C in the presence of silicic acid. The amounts in the starting mixture are selected to provide for one mol of P.sub.2 O.sub.5 per 1.1 to 1.5 mol of Me.sub. 2 O (Me being an alkali metal) and an amount of silicic acid sufficient to form calcium orthosilicate by combining with 1 mol of CaO derived from the initial tricalcium phosphate and with the lime which is not part of a phosphoric acid compound. The alkali hydroxide solution is introduced at a 30 to 80% concentration directly into the revolving furnace so as to cause the solution to impinge upon the mass while the same is at a temperature of at least 400.degree.C.

    Abstract: Pelleted sulfur compositions consisting essentially of particles of sulfur which include a substantial proportion of carbon-disulfide-insoluble sulfur particles together with a binder consisting essentially of a plasticizing or softening oil containing an anionic or nonionic surfactant in an amount equivalent to between 0.5 and 10% of the weight of the pelleted composition, the pelleted composition containing an amount of the plasticizing oil equivalent to between 10 and 60% of its weight. The pelleted composition is free-flowing, storable, and disperses homogeneously when distributed in rubber mixtures by milling on heated compounding rolls.

The compounds have a very favorable action on the central nervous system and are effective agents for the treatment of anxiety states, psychoses, emotional disturbances, aggressive tendencies, and can be used generally for the treatment of psychiatrically disturbed and psychoneurotic patients.
