Abstract: A hair coloring composition that includes about 5 to 25 wt. % of a first monosaccharide having 2 to 4 carbon atoms, up to about 10 wt. % of a second monosaccharide having 2 to 4 carbon atoms, about 0.1 to 5 wt. % of a surfactant, and about 0.1 to 5 wt. % of a delivery agent, each based on a total weight of the hair coloring composition. A method for coloring hair, that involves applying the hair coloring composition onto the hair, and optionally applying heat to the hair at a dyeing temperature of 30 to 205° C.

The top and the follower are biased away from the base, and depressing the top relative to the base causes the follower to rotate relative to the top between an open position in which a fluid flow path is open to the fluid orifice and a closed position in which the fluid flow path is closed to the fluid orifice.

In embodiments, a hair shine composition may include greater than or equal to 50 wt/wt % and less than or equal to 95 wt/wt % water; greater than or equal to 0.5 wt/wt % and less than or equal to 3 wt/wt % propanediol; and greater than or equal to 0.25 wt/wt % and less than or equal to 2 wt/wt % dimethyl isosorbide. In embodiments, a wt/wt % ratio of propanediol to dimethyl isosorbide may be from 1.00:1 to 3.00:1.

Abstract: The present application discloses a hairstyling composition, particularly for curly hair, which produces tight, long-lasting curls without requiring the use of high heat applied to the hair. The composition comprises a sulfonate-based copolymer (such as sodium polystyrene sulfonate), an aqueous polyurethane dispersion (such as polyurethane-34) and a cosmetically-acceptable carrier (such as water). The method of styling hair using the defined composition, without requiring the application of high heat to the hair, is also disclosed.

The compositions incorporate a mixture of two and preferably three polymers, those polymers including an organopolysiloxane graft polymer, a graft polymer comprising polyacrylate (such as polyacrylate-32), and optionally a water-soluble silicone polymer (such as bis-PEG-8-dimethicone).
