Patent number: 4167694Abstract: A control device is disclosed for controlling the drive means and consequently the oscillation range of a periodically oscillating member particularly when it is necessary to maintain the speed of the periodic oscillation movement such that it corresponds to the average speed of another drive unit. Two movably mounted sensors are located near opposite ends of a predetermined oscillation range of the oscillating member. When either of the sensors senses the presence of the oscillating member beyond the predetermined oscillation range, a signal is generated by the sensor which is transmitted to control means adapted to adjust the speed of the drive means operating the oscillating member.Type: GrantFiled: December 2, 1977Date of Patent: September 11, 1979Assignee: Hergeth KG Maschinenfabrik und ApparatebauInventors: Eduard Hille, Jurgen Andermann

Patent number: 4162634Abstract: A method and apparatus for balancing a rotor in at least one plane. The geometrical parameters of the rotor are stored along with test values representing the rotor in balance as determined during a test run. These stored values are transmitted to a frame computer which determines the size and phase relationship of counterweights necessary to balance the rotor. The test values resulting from the test run are stored for the entire duration of the balancing operation upstream of the frame computer. Also, the geometrical parameters of the rotor may be recalled and displayed at any time during the operation.Type: GrantFiled: August 22, 1978Date of Patent: July 31, 1979Assignee: Gebr. Patent number: 4160378Abstract: A procedure and apparatus for determining the characteristic values of tires and rims and/or the attitude of the endurance limit of the same by rolling a wheel on a drum drive machine and measuring the forces and/or moments with a torque indicator. The measured forces are then transformed to the forces at the area of contact between the wheel and the drum. The forces applied to the wheel may then be readjusted by altering the slip angle, the camber angle and/or the contact pressure of the wheel on the drum.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 1978Date of Patent: July 10, 1979Assignee: Gebr. Patent number: 4134292Abstract: Apparatus and method for testing the nonuniformity of rotating bodies, and especially motor vehicle tires, in which the rotating body is pressed against a test drum and the radial and lateral reaction forces are measured at several locations on the drum. Patent number: 4045174Abstract: A load of garments or other textile material to be washed is presoaked in organic solvent, e.g. in a rotating drum, and is then immersed within the same vessel in a water bath while still permeated by a substantial quantity of solvent. During this immersion, the vessel is gradually heated to the boiling point of the solvent, or of the azeotropic water/solvent mixture, which is below the boiling point of water so that only a part of the wash liquor is vaporized. The evaporation can be accelerated by placing the vessel under a partial vacuum. The evaporation rate of the solvent is measured and the washing cycle is halted as soon as that rate drops to zero or below a predetermined limit, with subsequent drying of the load by, for example, centrifugation.Type: GrantFiled: January 10, 1975Date of Patent: August 30, 1977Assignee: Bowe, Bohler & Weber KG MaschinenfabrikInventors: Heinrich Fuhring, Johannes Helmut Sieber
