  • Patent number: 4234292
Abstract: A fuel injection pump, especially for internal combustion engines, which includes a pump piston axially displaceable in a cylinder of a pump housing and operable by a cam of a camshaft through the intervention of a rocker. For controlling the quantity of the fuel to be injected, the circumference of the piston is provided with an oblique control groove for cooperation with a control bore in the cylinder. The rocker is pivotally connected to the pump piston and in spaced relationship to the piston is under the load of a spring determining the maximum injection pressure. Between the area where the spring acts upon the rocker and where the rocker is pivotally connected to the pump piston, the rocker is provided with a roller adapted to roll on the cam while the spring presses the rocker in fuel feeding direction against an abutment.

  • Patent number: 4213519
Abstract: A disc brake, especially for motor vehicles, which preferably has two pressure discs which by means of antifriction or sliding bodies arranged in recesses provided with inclined or crowned surfaces rest against each other. When turning the pressure discs in counter-current direction with regard to each other, the anti-friction or sliding bodies move onto the surfaces of the recesses, spread apart the pressure discs against the thrust of return springs, and press the brake discs, which are axially displaceable on a shaft to be braked, against associated braking surfaces. The pressure discs are guided in a housing by means of at least three guiding elements distributed over the circumference of the housing. Each pressure disc has associated therewith an abutment for limiting the turning movement of the pressure discs. The guiding members, which respectively resist a tilting of the pressure discs about the pertaining abutments, are radially adjustable.

  • Patent number: 4211653
Abstract: A rotary vacuum filter for the separation of solids-liquid mixtures has a rotatably supported filter drum having a stationary hollow conduit extending through the interior of the drum which is attached to a vacuum pump. The drum is rotated in a tank containing a mixture to be separated, so that the vacuum action draws the mixture through a filter disposed on the surface of the drum into the interior thereof, where an interior pump removes the filtered liquid and discharges same through the hollow conduit. At no time during the filtration process is air mixed with the filtered liquid, so that subsequent processing to remove air from the liquid is not required.

  • Patent number: 4204814
Abstract: A fuel injection pump with roller shaft for internal combustion engines, in which the roller is loosely journalled in a substantially cylindrical opening provided in a shaft or push member actuated in upward direction by a cam and in downward direction into its lower dead center position by a spring. The roller shaft or push member is at that end portion which is adjacent the roller provided with supporting surfaces by means of which the roller shaft when occupying its lower dead center position rests upon shoulders of a camshaft at opposite sides of the above mentioned cam. The diameter of the camshaft substantially equals the diameter of the high level portion of the cam. When the roller shaft rests on these shoulders, a gap is formed between the wall of the opening in the roller shaft and the roller so that sufficient lubricant can collect in the gap to assure proper lubrication of the roller, even when the roller shaft is under great load.
