  • Patent number: 6412581
Abstract: A radiator mounting structure which has a front grill located in front of a radiator and provided with a projection extending toward the radiator. When a hood collides with an obstacle M and is deformed, the deformation causes the front grill to move rearward whereby the radiator is urged rearward of a vehicle body to tilt in the same direction. Thus, the hood is sufficiently deformable to thereby sufficiently alleviate an impact shock to be applied to the obstacle within a limited space.

  • Patent number: 6412927
Abstract: An ink ejection device that is capable of forming a high density dot image on a recording medium by successively ejecting two ink droplets. Drive timings of an actuator are appropriately set so that the two ink droplets do not join together during their flight times toward the recording medium. Because the ink ejection device moves relative to the recording medium, the two ink droplets deposited on the recording medium partially overlap one on the other, thereby enlarging an area where the ink is deposited.

  • Patent number: 6413210
Abstract: In a life span meter system for a lamp, such as a xenon lamp, used in an electronic endoscope, a counter numerically estimates a lit-time of the lamp as a numerical data whenever the lamp is turned ON. A memory stores the numerical data as a total numerical data of the lit-time of the lamp whenever the lamp is turned OFF. A determiner determines whether the total numerical data reaches a numerical life-span data which is numerically estimated from a life span of the lamp. An indicator indicates that the lamp should be exchanged with a new lamp when it is determined by the determiner that the total numerical lit-time data exceeds the numerical life-span data.

  • Patent number: 6412368
Abstract: In a saddle seat type motor vehicle for use on uneven ground and including a front final assembly provided between left and right front wheels, the front final assembly provides the left and right front wheels with driving torques differentiated at a predetermined ratio when the wheels rotates at different speeds. When the motor vehicle turns, large driving torque is supplied to inner wheels rotating at low speeds compared with outer wheels rotating at high speeds. This enables the motor vehicle to turn effectively and to reduce steering effort.

  • Publication number: 20020081123
Abstract: A direct-current power source is connected, via a diode, to an electrically conductive brush, which makes contact with the surface of a photosensitive drum to remove paper dust deposited thereon. Upon application of a bias voltage by the direct-current power source to the conductive brush, the conductive brush collects paper dust physically as well as electrically. The diode prevents current flow from the conductive brush to the direct-current power source, and thus the paper dust collected by the conductive brush will not return to the photosensitive drum.

  • Publication number: 20020079678
Abstract: An air bag device having a switch adapted to be operated when a breakable cover member covering an air bag module mounted in the steering wheel is pushed. Particularly, H-shaped tear lines, including grooves of a V-shape in section, are defined in an inner surface of the cover member. The tear lines are broken by a pressure resulting from the expansion of the air bag to open a lid defined in the cover member. A pair of ridges are integrally formed on the cover member astride a central one of the tear lines. The rigidity of the rear cover member is enhanced by the ridges, whereby the deformation of the cover member is prevented. Thus, the cover member can be slid smoothly to ensure the reliable operation of the switch.
