The 3D image processing unit includes a memory unit for storing a rendered model image as a collection of pixel data and distance information from a viewing point of a simulated camera in correspondence with respect to said pixel data; image processing unit for applying semitransparent processing to each pixel data read from the memory unit; rewriting unit for rewriting the pixel data with said distance information from the viewing point of the simulated camera that is a specified reference value or larger; and control unit for causing the image processing unit and the rewriting unit to repeatedly operate a specified number of times while successively increasing the specified reference value and successively increasing a degree of transparency.
Abstract: There is provided an image forming method capable of displaying an object in a semitransparent state without combining the object with a background and further, capable of improving a quality of an image. In the object, the transparent area and the non-transparent area are alternately arranged in at least one direction. The object is superposed and depicted in front of a predetermined background across a plurality of frames while alternating the transparent area and the non-transparent area at least partially. It is detected the change of a position of the object between one frame and another subsequent frame, and the alternation of the transparent area and the non-transparent area is controlled on the basis of this change.

Abstract: In a die which has a regular polyhedron form and which can be opened into a continuous polygonal form on a plane, boundary areas (Rb) between planes (11 through 16) on the inner side of the regular polyhedron have inclination angles determined according to the regular polyhedron. In addition, engaging portions (21a, 21b, 24a, 24b, 25a, 25b, 26a, 26b) not exceeding the respective boundary areas (Rb) are placed on the boundary areas (Rb) of predetermined planes (11 through 16). Such a die is formed by injecting plastic resin within a mold (31, 32) according to the form of the opened die. This realizes a three-dimensional die capable of being opened onto a two-dimensional plane, which has only been fictionally conceived, and further provides a manufacturing method thereof.
Abstract: A number drawing apparatus includes a rotating unit and collecting holes. Each ball, supplied from a supply unit provided in the central portion of the rotating unit when it rotates, randomly rolls on a surface of the rotating unit. A centrifugal force by the rotation causes each ball to move outwardly from the rotating unit, and each ball is caught in one of catching holes. Unique identifying symbols are assigned to the catching holes. This enables the draw.
Abstract: A plurality of tasks are set in a speech synthesizing process, in which at least one of speakers, emotion or situation at the time speeches are made, and contents of the speeches, is different, and word dictionaries, prosody dictionaries, and waveform dictionaries corresponding to respective tasks are organized. When a character string to be synthesized is input with the task specified through, for example, a game system, a speech synthesizing process is performed using the word dictionary, the prosody dictionary, and the waveform dictionary corresponding to the specified task. Therefore, a speech message can be generated depending on the personality of a speaker, the emotion or situation at the time when a speech is made, and the contents of the speech.
