    Abstract: In an image sensor having plural conversion elements for photoelectrically converting an image into electric signals and a matrix-wired electric circuit, connected to the plural conversion elements, for transmitting the signal therefrom, when reading out the image, all the plural conversion elements are reset at the same time. Thereafter, one of the plural conversion elements is sequentially selected in a predetermined order, and a signal from the selected conversion element is read out through the matrix-wired electric circuit.
