Abstract: The invention relates to a method for establishing a communication service with a user equipment in the coverage area of a base station is disclosed. The base station is part of a telecommunication system comprising a plurality of base stations connected to a core network containing a connection information database. In the method, at least one communication identifier is received by the base station of the user equipment in the coverage area of the base station after the base station has processed information indicative of a disconnection between the base station and the connection information database, e.g. a disconnection between the base station and the core network. The received at least one communication identifier is stored in a local storage associated with the base station. The communication service is established via the base station using the communication identifier from the local storage.

  • Patent number: 10841769
Abstract: The invention relates to a system and method of transferring user data from a communication module to a data processing center over a telecommunications network. A signalling message is wirelessly received from the communication module in the telecommunications network. The signalling message contains the user data that is subsequently transferred to the data processing center. By inserting the user data in the signalling message (s), it is possible to rapidly transmit data to the telecommunications network, while resources can be saved since it not required to establish a complete circuit-switched or packet switched correction between the communication module and the telecommunications network. The user data may comprise application data of a program run by the communication module, e.g. alarming data, measurement data or derivatives thereof.

  • Patent number: 10797939
Abstract: The invention relates to a node for communication between a first network and an second network and coupled to a controller in the second network via a first communication route. The node and controller form a virtualised home gateway platform. The node is arranged to access a second communication route and also to couple to the controller via the second communication route upon connection failure of the first communication route. This reconnects the node to the controller thereby maintaining a route for transmission of data streams and downloads into the home environment but also re-establishes control signalling within the virtualised home gateway platform and therefore also within the home network. A system for performing gateway functions between a first network and an second network, and a method of maintaining connection between a node and a controller, are also described.

  • Patent number: 10712555
Abstract: Methods and devices are provided for use in a streaming process (130) of a Virtual Reality [VR] video to a VR rendering device (120). The streaming process has a configurable setup, each configured setup providing respective different image data of a scene. The VR rendering device is arranged to render a current view of the scene based on a current head position. The streaming process is executed according to a first configured setup providing first image data needed to render the current view. EEG data is determined by measuring brain signals (115) and a head movement is predicted based on the EEG data. Target image data is determined as needed for rendering a future view based on the predicted head movement. A new configured setup for providing the target image data is determined. By adapting the streaming process based on the prediction the target image data can be provided in time and efficiently using available bandwidth.

  • Patent number: 10666737
Abstract: A method for an intermediary node to reduce a number of server-client sessions between a server (104) and a plurality of clients (102a, 102b, 102c) communicably connected to the server (104) over a network is disclosed. The intermediary node (106) intercepts a first request and a second request destined to the server (104) from a first client (102a; 102b; 102c) and a second client (102a; 102b; 102c). The intermediary node (106) establishes a server-client session, between the intermediary node (106) and the server (104), using the first request. If the first request overlaps in part with the second request and if a part of the second request is not overlapping with the first request, the intermediary node (106) updates the server-client session between the intermediary node (106) and the server (104) to include a part of the second request.
