Abstract: Disclosed are a carbon dioxide absorbent composition in which an N-alkylaminoalkanol; a polyhydroxyamine-based compound; and ethylenediamine and/or diethylenetriamine are mixed, a method for preparing the same, and a method and an apparatus for carbon dioxide absorption/separation using the same. Since the carbon dioxide absorbent according to the present disclosure has superior carbon dioxide absorption capacity and remarkably lower absorbent recycling temperature as compared to the existing absorbents such as monoethanolamine, etc., total energy consumption in the capturing process can be reduced greatly. In addition, since carbon dioxide is recovered at low recycling temperature, contamination by water or absorbent vapor may be prevented.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a polyarylene ether-based polymer for an electrolyte membrane of a fuel cell, represented by the following Chemical Formula 1. When the polyarylene ether-based polymer for an electrolyte membrane of a fuel cell is applied to the manufacture of a membrane-electrode assembly through a decal process, the hot pressing temperature may be controlled to about 120° C. so as to conform to a low glass transition temperature. Therefore, it is possible to solve the problems of deterioration of an electrolyte membrane or incomplete transfer of an electrode catalyst layer, caused by the high hot pressing temperature applied in the case of the conventional hydrocarbon-based polymer material.

Abstract: Disclosed is a noble metal-manganese oxide composite catalyst for a positive electrode of an aqueous rechargeable battery that can regenerate a solvent of an aqueous electrolyte. Also disclosed are a method for preparing the composite catalyst, a positive electrode for an aqueous rechargeable battery including the composite catalyst, and an aqueous rechargeable battery including the positive electrode. The composite catalyst can regenerate reaction products, including gases continuously generated from spontaneous corrosion of the electrodes or side reactions, back to water to prevent depletion of the electrolyte. Due to this ability, the composite catalyst improves the life characteristics of the battery and suppresses the occurrence of excessive overpotentials at the electrodes. Therefore, the use of the composite catalyst is effective in preventing the performance of the battery from deteriorating.

Abstract: Disclosed are a separator for fuel cells capable of minimizing the volume of a system and the use of sealants, and a stack for fuel cells, more particularly, a stack for solid oxide fuel cells, including the same. Specifically, by adding a metal sheet having a specific shape, position and size to the separator, the stress applied to the sealant can be uniformized, and thus the oxidizing agent and fuel can be separated and electrically isolated using only a piece of sealant. Therefore, the stack for fuel cells is characterized in that there is no variation in temperature, reactant concentration, power, or the like between respective unit cells, so delamination and microcracks do not occur, the volume is minimized, and the power density per unit volume is very high.
