  • Publication number: 20080305724
Abstract: In through-feed grinding workpieces by grinding stones rotating around the axes of spindles, the spindles are tiltably held by elastic holding means around tilt axes substantially orthogonal to the direction of exit and entrance of the workpieces with respect to the grinding stones. When a grinding loads are imposed on the entrance sides of the grinding stones, the spindles are tilted by offset loads around the tilt axes against the force of urging means in such a manner that the axial displacement and the exit displacement of the grinding stone due to the offset load are substantially the same. The grinding stones are reset around the tilt axes by the elastic holding means immediately before the end of processing at which time the axial displacement is smaller. This makes it possible to reduce the number of defectively ground articles coming from the through-feed grinding and reduce the wear in the grinding stones.

  • Patent number: 7461996
Abstract: An erroneous assembling preventing tool for a universal joint prevents a shaft from being fixed to a cylindrical section of a yoke main body of the universal joint by fastening a bolt in a state where the shaft is not inserted into a normal position of an axial direction of the cylindrical section. The erroneous assembling preventing tool comprises a fixing section fixed to the yoke main body, a prevention section arranged between first and second tabs of the yoke main body, and a driving section for driving a prevention section. The prevention section is displaceable to a prevention position at which an end of the bolt can be prevented from being inserted through a screw hole of the second tab of the yoke and a prevention release position. The driving section displaces the prevention section to the prevention release position when it is pressed by an end of the shaft inserted into the normal position of the axial direction of the cylindrical section.

  • Publication number: 20080233843
Abstract: In effecting two-sided surface grinding for surface-grinding the opposite surfaces of a workpiece simultaneously by a pair of oppositely disposed grinding wheels, infeed grinding is performed by oscillating the workpiece within the range where the surfaces to be ground of the workpiece do not protrude from the inner and outer peripheries of the grinding wheel surfaces of the grinding wheels, and then through-grinding is performed by feeding the workpiece to allow the surfaces to be ground to pass along the inner and outer peripheries of the grinding wheel surfaces. As an effect, worn wheel edges or the like can be prevented from being formed in the inner and outer peripheral edges, that grinding wheel surfaces can be maintained in proper shape for a prolonged time, that the grinding accuracy is better, and that dress interval can be prolonged, thus improving the life of grinding wheels.

  • Patent number: 7387034
Abstract: A torque detecting apparatus having a permanent magnet fixed to an input shaft, magnetic yokes fixed to an output shaft coaxially connected to the input shaft via a torsion bar and disposed within a magnetic field of the permanent magnet to form a magnetic circuit, and a Hall IC for detecting a magnetic flux induced by the magnetic yokes. The permanent magnet is of a truncated conical shape, and the bevel circumference surface thereof is magnetized by magnetic poles alternately in a reverse polarities along circumference direction, so as to oppose the magnetic yokes. A torque applied to the input shaft or the output shaft can be detected through detection by the Hall IC of the magnetic flux generated between the magnetic yokes. The configuration allows reducing the length in an axial direction of the input shaft.

  • Patent number: 7379802
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for motor vehicles provided with an electrical sero steering controlled by an electronic processor. The method comprises using an electrical signal within the processor which has at least one component image of the parasite vibrations coming from the front subframe. Said signal is filtered such as to isolate the component image of the parasite vibrations, from which a corrective value for the control current, which controls the electric servo motor for the steering, is calculated. The corrective value thus calculated is subtracted from the current control, determined by taking into account other parameters, to give a corrected control current, which gives to rise to an attenuation in the vibrations transmitted to the steering system and the steering wheel by acting on the servo steering.
