Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for increasing standby time of mobile terminal and device thereof, and more particularly in a mobile terminal that performs voice and/or data communication by switching between at least two networks using different protocols, and method for increasing standby time using an access history and the device thereof. According to the present invention, the minimized hybrid operation can increase the standby time of the mobile terminal. Also, by minimizing hybrid operation of a plurality of IS-856 mobile terminals, the resource efficiency of the EV-DO network can be maximized.

Abstract: A method, device and recorded medium having recorded the method, for providing directions information applied with real-time traffic condition reports are disclosed. An aspect of the present invention features a method and device that can receive traffic condition reports in real-time and provide directions information applied with the pertinent traffic condition reports. Then, the path directions applied with the change of traffic condition reports according to the time flow can be acquired and provided to a user.

When the apparatus providing the tunneling service for an explicit multicast in a mobile IP network receives a multicast packet from a correspondent node with a network, it extracts mobile nodes existing in a path for tunneling from among the plurality of mobile nodes. Also, after it creates an explicit multicast tunnel header having a destination address as a Co-Located Care-of Address (CL COA) of the mobile nodes existing in the path for tunneling, it tunnels a multicast packet that was encapsulated using the explicit multicast tunnel header to the mobile nodes.

Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus and method for processing a ranging channel in an OFDMA system. The apparatus converts received ranging complex signals to polar coordinate signals having a signal magnitude and a phase, and the received converted signals are each represented by a signal magnitude component and a phase component. A predetermined phase component of a signal according to a phase rotation is used to estimate a time delay by an addition operation of the phase of the received signal and the phase according to the phase rotation. Accordingly, the time delay and the power of each reverse link user of the OFDMA mobile communication system can be calculated by arithmetic operations of addition components instead of multiplication components, resulting in the reduction of complexity.
