  • Patent number: 4991383
Abstract: An agricultural machine for harvesting crop includes a frame provided with a tongue and carrying wheels. The frame carries a cutting device, a conditioning and/or throwing device and adjustable deflectors. The cutting device and the conditioning and/or throwing device can be transposed into a second work position in which they form an acute first angle with a straight line perpendicular to direction of advance and acute second angles with axes of carrying wheels. The second angles have approximately the same value as the first angle.

  • Patent number: 4986064
Abstract: A novel harvesting machine is usable with a novel method for transformation from an operating position to a transport position. The machine has a set of work wheels and a set of transport wheels which extend on transverse axes. The transport wheels extend substantially parallel to, and on both sides of the longitudinal axis of the body of the machine. When the work wheels are lowered the resulting raising of the body of the machine permits the transport wheels to be lowered. Subsequently, the body can be lowered onto the transport wheels and the work wheels raised. In a subsequent operation the tongue of the machine is pivoted relative to the body into a transport position parallel to the longitudinal axis of the body. An additional connecting element may be provided for supporting the body when in the transport position.

  • Patent number: 4970848
Abstract: A mower includes a first chassis attachable to a tractor for movement in a work direction, a second chassis having first and second structures connected at a joint extending perpendicular to the work direction, and connecting rods, each having respective ends pivotally connected to the first chassis and to the second structure of the second chassis so as to form with the first and second chassis an upwardly deformable quadrilateral deformable such that the work elements may move to adapt to ground contours. A release safety device normally prevents pivoting of the first structure about the joint but permits pivoting of the first structure about the joint axis when the first structure or the working elements hooks an obstacle during movement of the mower in the work direction. This limits forces applied to the mower.

  • Patent number: 4914901
Abstract: A haymaking machine having a frame supporting at least one raking wheel equipped with tool-carrying arms controlled during work. The raking wheel is rotatable about a support pin which carries a control cam and which is free in rotation in relation to the frame during work. The support pin is connected to at least one support which is offset in relation to the support pin in the direction of movement of the machine, with the support being stationary in relation to its connection to the support pin in the horizontal plane. The support thus assures a continuous predetermined orientation of the support pin and of control cam as a function of the direction of movement to permit formation of well-formed and regular windrows during movements of the haymaking machine both in a straight line or around curves or turns.
