    Abstract: A vinylidene fluoride resin film having (1) a crystal melting point of 182.degree. C. or higher as measured by differential scanning calorimeter in nitrogen atmosphere at a temperature elevation speed of 10.degree. C./min; (2) a diffraction point corresponding to (1 1 .zeta.) of the .alpha.-phase crystal in the wide angle X-ray diffraction photograph; and (3) an orientation degree of the crystal of 0.85 or more when measured under irradiation of X-ray incident vertically on a major surface of the film. The vinylidene fluoride resin film is obtained by inflation accompanying melt necking stretching. The film has improved mechanical properties and heat-stability and is also adapted for use as a base film of a metallized film.

    Abstract: A process and an apparatus for distributing short fibrous material onto a horizontally travelling sheet. A disintegrated short fibrous material is fed into a hopper comprising a substantially hollow casing disposed above the travelling sheet and having a fiber discharge port at a lower portion with of a side wall on the downstream side. A mesh having a width equal to or larger than that of the travelling sheet and having partitions provided thereabove for suppressing the transverse movement of the fiber is provided below the hopper and with a spacing above the travelling sheet. The mesh screen is horizontally and transversely vibrated to distribute the fiber therethrough onto the travelling sheet, whereby the fiber is uniformly distributed without causing pilling even if it is fed at a considerably small rate.

    Abstract: A readily crystallizable arylenesulfide resin composition is produced by adding, to 100 parts by weight of an arylenesulfide polymer, 0.01 to 10.0 parts of an organic acid or organic acid anhydride having a high boiling or melting point such as 2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylic acid, and then heating the mixture to a temperature not lower than the melting point of the polymer. The resulting resin composition is characterized in that its crystallization from its glass state and molten state is very rapid, in that it forms very fine spherulite structures, and in that it has a high degree of crystallization, a very crystallizable character, and other desirable characteristics.
