    Abstract: A threaded fastener lighter in weight and easier to produce is made by the moderate temperature-forging, from a raw magnesium material that contains microcrystals whose diameter is about 100 &mgr;m or less. The raw material may be pure magnesium of industrial grade in one case, and alternatively be any magnesium alloy or such a composition as comprising as its matrix the alloy or pure magnesium, in the other cases. The raw material has a superplastic property and a fine-granulated metallographic internal texture, and when making the fastener, will be heated to 250-400° C. at which superplasticity takes place to facilitate the forging to form the fastener. A method proposed in the invention to make the fastener is thus such that the number of necessary processing steps is reduced and manufacture cost is lowered.

    Abstract: A four-port changeover valve in an emergency water storage tank facility for changing over the flow paths of the water main and to the tank by axially moving the valve rod. Three valve seats are formed axially in a valve box. The valve rod extends through the valve seats. As the four-port changeover valve, the three valve seats can be selectively opened and closed by one and the other of two valve bodies. The water storage tank is connected to a first and a fourth chamber, while the water main is connected to a second and a third chamber. The valve rod is raised and lowered by the cylinder. In a normal state when the water pressure in the water main is at a required level, the valve rod rises so that the tank and the water main communicate with each other.

The material is preferably applied to a complicated or large-sized product.

Since the scope of the image pickup for detecting color of the post-consumed bottles is defined in accordance with the data from the detecting section, picture processing at a high speed is achieved resulting in remarkable sorting performance.

The actual torque value is compared with the torque allowance to acknowledge whether or not the actual torque value is within the stored torque allowance in later forming operation using the same transfer pattern.

    Abstract: The invention is directed to an improved method and apparatus for a forward extrusion piercing which is able to pierce a long through-hole of slenderness (length/hole diameter) 5 or the like in a hot blank with a high accuracy by one stroke of the piercing punch so as to produce hollow metallic products. In the process, a hot blank forged with a determined outer shape is set on a lower die, and an upper die assembly is provided with the piercing punch, a holding guide and an upper die coaxially with the lower die. Downward movement of the upper die assembly enables the holding guide to hold the blank and then the punch moves down with a retention by a through-hole of the holding guide through which the punch passes, against transverse displacement of the punch. The tip of the punch is adapted to enter a through-hole of a receiver die at its lower stroke end in order to cut off redundant piece of the blank.

    Abstract: A device for moving a blowing and spraying assembly for dies used in a forging press freely adjusts the movement of the blowing and spraying assembly. The distance from an intermediate fulcrum P of a driving lever 2 having a certain length L to a pressure receiving roller 21 located at one end of the lever 2 being in contact with a slide 11 is established as L1, and a distance from the fulcrum P to an engagement ring 31 located at another end of the lever 2 is established as L2. The distances L1 and L2 can be freely adjusted by changing the position of the point P. The engagement ring is engaged with a linkage 5 through a connecting part 4, and a driven lever 51 of the linkage is connected to the spray blower. When changing the ratio of L1 to L2, an inclination .theta.1 of the driving lever is increased or decreased, and this variation of the inclination causes an inclination .theta. 2 of a driven lever to change, whereby a stroke S of a jet 61 on the top end of the spray blower is changed.

    Abstract: This present invention intends to provide a continuous type vertical planetary ball mill performing with high efficiency. In this ball mill, a mill pot is provided with an entrance and an exit which are vertically open. The entrance communicates with a charging port of a charging case which rotates together with a revolving rotary body, and the exit communicates with a discharging case fixed to a bed so as to allow only fine particles to pass through. Compressed air is supplied to bearings interposed between an airtight chamber and a fixed shaft, between the airtight chamber and a rotary shaft, and between the airtight chamber and a mill casing. As a result, this continuous type vertical planetary ball mill is stable in construction as compared with the conventional vertical type of ball mill and enables a high speed operation. Crushing performance and material quality reforming performance are improved.

    Abstract: A partition diaphragm which divides a grinding chamber of a ball mill into several chambers is formed into a compound structure comprising a primary screen plate and a secondary screen plate, with the slit clearance of the secondary screen plate being smaller than that of the prior art while avoiding the occurrence of blinding. The secondary screen plate of the partition diaphragm is comprised of a wire sieve provided with fine slits having a trapezoidal shape in section. The wire seive is loosely disposed between adjacent members so as to be freely movable to a certain extent. Since there is no sticking of material by movement of the wire sieve in spite of the slit clearance in the wire sieve, fine particles in the partition diaphragm can move smoothly and the two grinding chambers are well-balanced, resulting in an improved grinding efficiency.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a small-sized slide adjusting device for use in a forging press manufactured by a simplified manufacturing process. An adjusting lever is provided with a nut receiving section, and a nut to be received in the nut receiving section is provided with turning shafts in axial alignment. A mounting hole is provided through two sides of the receiving section, a disc having an eccentric through hole is fitted in each mounting hole, and the turning shafts of the nut are fitted in a respective through hole. In one embodiment the nut is provided with a female screw situated at a right angle to the axial alignment direction of the turning shafts, and one end of the screw is connected to a motor mounted on a slide. In the slide adjusting device of this construction, a variation in height occurs due to the circular arc motion at the time of inclined movement of the adjusting lever making a center of a wrist pin a fulcrum followed by turning movement of the disc and turning shafts.

    Abstract: To apply exactly a variety of operating patterns to an automatic transfer apparatus for use in a forging press, an arrangement is proposed comprising: intermediate frames each mounted on an external frame so as to move freely up and down; a clamp frame mounted on the intermediate frame so as to move freely in a lateral direction; a pair of beams mounted on the clamp frame so as to open and close freely; servo motors for performing upward and downward motion, lateral motion and opening-and-closing motion; and drive control equipment. The operation patters are inputted to a microcomputer for picture processing and displayed. Accordingly, the driving operations are exactly controlled by pulse signals and feedback pulses of the servo motors. The arrangement is applicable to various types of motions. Feed motion being of the longest stroke is linear and therefore positioning becomes accurate. The construction is advantageous in accomplishing a small-sized and light-weight automatic transfer apparatus.

    Abstract: A rotor shearing type crusher for crushing municipal waste and industrial waste whether it is bulky or not. If any foreign material, which is impossible to crush, is mixed with the municipal waste or industrial waste, the foreign material is promptly discriminated and discharged separately. The crusher includes a casing, a feed plate and a cutter respectively rotatably mounted to the casing obliquely above two rotatable knives. The inclination of the feed plate and cutter can be changed freely. Cutouts rae provided on the top end of the feed plate and cutter in a comb-like manner to dodge cutting edges of the rotatable knives intersecting each other. A discharge port is divided into two sections. The crusher of such a construction performs a function of tearing off soft waste twining itself around the rotatable knives. Rigid material impossible to be crushed is separately discharged. Even dangerous small waste such as cartridges, cylinders, etc. can be crushed and degassed inside without fail.
