  • Patent number: 5562084
Abstract: A diagnosis control valve unit, provided in a vent pipe extending from a carbon canister, includes an air cleaner casing, an air cleaner filter and a diagnosis control valve substantially contained in the casing. A valve element, a valve seat and valve driving components of the diagnosis control valve are disposed in an internal space of the casing and the filter. The diagnosis control valve is firmly attached to an end of the casing. A valve element and a valve seat of a check valve are optionally provided in the casing, firmly attached to the opposite end of the casing. A vent pipe may be connected to that opposite end of the casing, in place of the check valve. The diagnosis control valve, check valve, or vent may be detachably connected to the casing.

  • Patent number: 5469886
Abstract: In a solenoid valve comprising a first solenoid valve for regulating pressure and a second multifunctional solenoid valve integrated with the first solenoid valve, even if a solenoid of the first solenoid valve is energized, a diaphragm valve of the solenoid valve is not immediately opened, thereby providing a safe and compact solenoid valve. The first solenoid valve comprises a first spring provided between the upper end of a plunger which is movable by the solenoid and stator, while the lower end of the plunger is disposed to be brought into contact with the diaphragm valve and a second spring is provided for urging the diaphragm valve in the direction to close it even if the plunger is moved away from the diaphragm valve and the second solenoid valve which is integrated with said solenoid valve for controlling to selectively open or close a closing valve and a one way valve.

  • Patent number: 5441232
Abstract: A solenoid valve capable of controlling precisely a small quantity of flow and obtaining a large quantity of fluid. In a duty control solenoid valve, there are provided a guide body for shutting off a fluid passage and in which a plunger is slidably guided, plural stages of flow control ports which are provided in the guide body and are opened or closed in response to the movement of the plunger, a plurality of return springs in response to the plural stages of flow control ports whereby the excitation energy of the electromagnetic coil can be switched to plural stages or the electromagnetic coils are selectable separately, thereby varying the opening areas of the plural stages of flow control ports.

  • Patent number: 5355861
Abstract: An evaporative emission control system provided with a vapor-liquid separation chamber in which a liquefaction accelerating agent is filled for forcibly liquefying and separating the high boiling ingredient contained in evaporative emission and vaporizing the liquid fuel effectively when the evaporative emission is purged, thereby lightening the burden imposed on the adsorbents and preventing the deterioration of the adsorbents so as to make the canister small while keeping the adsorbent properties. It comprises a vapor-liquid separation chamber formed in the canister, a liquefaction accelerating agent which is fibrous or long strip-shaped and filled in the upper portion of the vapor-liquid separation chamber, a fuel storage chamber disposed at the lower portion of the vapor-liquid separation chamber for storing the separated liquid fuel and an adsorbent accommodating chamber which communicates with the vapor-liquid separation chamber.
