Abstract: Endosseous dental implants tapered over at least part of their length, include two separate portions, a shorter proximal region with half the distance and half the depth between adjacent peaks of multiple lead threads as the longer distal region which has half the number of multiple lead threads as in the proximal region.
Abstract: Methods and compositions are provided related to improved plants that are tolerant to more than one herbicide. Particularly, the invention provides plants that are tolerant of glyphosate and are tolerant to at least one ALS inhibitor, and methods of use thereof. The glyphosate/ALS inhibitor-tolerant plants comprise a polynucleotide that encodes a polypeptide that confers tolerance to glyphosate and a polynucleotide that encodes an ALS inhibitor-tolerant polypeptide. In specific embodiments, a plant of the invention expresses a GAT polypeptide and an HRA polypeptide. Methods to control weeds, improve plant yield, and increase transformation efficiencies are provided.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention comprise a system for positioning a drawn implement having a transverse tool bar being pulled by a vehicle traveling generally along a desired path of movement, the vehicle having a mounting hitch on the rear end thereof where a system hitch is configured to adjust its angular orientation and that of the tool bar relative to the vehicle mounting hitch and a global positioning system having an antenna mounted on the system hitch operable to detect the position of the tool bar of the implement relative to the desired path as the vehicle moves generally along the desired path and generate a signal that is indicative of the lateral position of the implement relative to the desired path and means for controlling the hitch means to adjust the angular orientation of the hitch means and the tool bar so that the implement follows the desired path of movement in response to the global positioning system signals.

Abstract: A diagnostic technology to provide more efficient treatment for diagnosis of diseases such as leukemia, is provided according to the present invention. The present invention provides a method for identifying a stage of differentiation-maturation of a cell comprising the steps of: A) measuring an expression level of at least one cellular marker; and 10 B) determining the stage of differentiation-maturation of the cell based on the expression level. The present invention further provides a method for treating a subject based on a differentiation-maturation stage of a cell, comprising the steps of: A) measuring an expression level of at least one cellular marker; B) determining the differentiation-maturation stage of the cell based on the expression level; and C) providing to the subject an appropriate treatment based on the determined differentiation-maturation stage.
Abstract: A mobile apparatus is used to process animal waste in a farm building and to spread the processed animal waste back on the floor of the farm building as the apparatus moves through the farm building. The apparatus includes a processing mechanism that heats the animal waste to a predetermined temperature to eliminate insects, bacteria, and ammonia from the animal waste. The apparatus also includes a spreader mechanism for distributing the processed animal waste onto the farm building floor. The most preferred implementation of the apparatus is a single-pass machine that takes in animal waste in the front using a pickup mechanism, processes the animal waste to sanitize the animal waste, and spreads the sanitized animal waste in the rear, allowing the operator to move the machine through the farm building and thereby sanitize all of the animal waste in a single pass.

The apparatus includes a processing mechanism that heats the animal waste to a predetermined temperature to eliminate insects, bacteria, and ammonia from the animal waste. The apparatus also includes a spreader mechanism for distributing the processed animal waste onto the farm building floor. The apparatus may optionally include a pickup mechanism that picks up the animal waste off of the farm building floor and directs the animal waste to the processing mechanism.
Abstract: A tent frame including: leg posts a plurality of expandable connectors connected in pairs between adjacent posts, each connector having first and second outer ends and is fixedly connected at the first outer end to the upper end of one post and slideably connected at the second outer end to a lower portion of the same post, each connector movable between extended and folded states; a roof comprising upper poles, each pivotally connected to a post and to a central pole, each upper pole and corresponding central pole are movable between an extended and folded states; and support pole assemblies, each connected at one end to slide with a second outer end and at another end to a central pole so that each connector, upper pole and central pole expand together to the extended state and the support pole assemblies support the central poles to maintain the extended state.
Abstract: An apparatus and method for flexibly suspending a sensing mechanism between a pair of cover plates, including a sensing mechanism formed in a crystalline silicon substrate; a pair of cover plates formed in crystalline silicon substrates; a first plurality of complementary interfaces in fixed relation between the sensing mechanism and a first one of the cover plates; and a second plurality of complementary interfaces flexibly suspended between the sensing mechanism and a second one of the cover plates with one or more of the flexibly suspended interfaces being a complementary male and female interface.

Abstract: A universal gun cleaning kit includes a universal handle including a female threaded opening of a first select size. A plurality of elongate rods have different outer diameters. Each rod has opposite near and distal ends. The distal ends are adapted for selectively receiving a gun barrel cleaning element. A plurality of shafts are each rotatably connected to an associated one of the rods. The shafts include a male threaded end of the first select size or a second select size. An adaptor has a female threaded end of the second select size and a male threaded end of the first select size. The shafts of the first select size can be directly threaded into the universal handle and the shafts of the second select size can be threaded into the universal handle using the adaptor so that, in use, a select one of the rods is rotatable relative to the universal handle.
Abstract: An insert for use with a conventional sports bag for organizing, carrying, drying, and storing sports gear. The insert has mesh pockets, straps for attaching clothing and equipment to the insert, and loops for suspending the insert from a hook. The insert can easily be pulled into a shape that fits into a conventional sports bag. Once inserted into the sports bag, all the pockets on the insert remain fully functional and accessible, with the openings of the large mesh pockets and the full-size mesh pocket being readily accessible from the top of the sports bag.
