  • Patent number: 7933724
Abstract: Method of tracking the performance of an industrial appliance (E), in which an estimate (We) of the quantity representing the electrical power consumed is calculated, in real-time, using the model (M), based on the values of the set (F) of operating parameters of the industrial appliance (E), the difference between the measured value (W) of the electrical power consumed (W) and the estimated value (We) provided by the model (M) is calculated, to obtain the overconsumption value, based on a statistical test on the overconsumption variable, using the distribution of this variable, an overconsumption score is deduced from this corresponding to a probability of overconsumption (p1) and an alarm is triggered if the probability of overconsumption (p1) exceeds a given overconsumption probability threshold (sp1), so constituting an overconsumption indicator.

  • Patent number: 7891197
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for the uninterrupted supply of liquid subcooled carbon dioxide. The liquid is supplied at a nearly constant pressure greater than about 40 bar. Liquid carbon dioxide is supplied at a low pressure and is sent into a low pressure tank where it is stored temporarily. The carbon dioxide is then pumped, with a pump, from the low pressure tank to a high pressure tank. During the pumping, the pressure of the carbon dioxide is increased. The carbon dioxide is stored in the high pressure tank until its removal. When the carbon dioxide is removed, it is in a thermodynamic disequilibrium between the liquid and gas phases.

  • Publication number: 20110036461
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for flame cutting a part made of a metal containing iron, implementing at least one blowtorch having a cutting nozzle, wherein the operation is carried out according to the steps of preheating a localized area of the part by means of a flame obtained by the combustion of a combustible gas and oxygen, then directing the gaseous oxygen towards the preheated localized area into a first pressure and/or first flow for initiating a bore while shifting the blowtorch in the cutting direction. Then, after initiating a bore in the part, the pressure and/or flow of gaseous oxygen is increased in the direction of the bore start area to a second pressure higher than the first pressure and/or a second flow higher than the first flow to obtain the complete bore in the part. The invention also relates to associated equipment.
