  • Patent number: 7109134
Abstract: A fusible quilt batt. The fusible batt includes a non-woven fibrous web and a heat sealable and releasable adhesive. The adhesive is coated on the outer surface of the web and insinuates between the fibers of the web internally. The adhesive thus binds the fibers of the web and provides a tackiness sufficient to allow the web to be applied to a backing material at an elevated temperature and removed from the backing at room temperature or an elevated temperature. After removal of the web from the backing material it may be reapplied to a backing material at an elevated temperature. The attachment, removal and reattachment process is repeatable.

  • Publication number: 20060202529
Abstract: A multipurpose adjustment mechanism for a synchrotilt chair mechanism and a chair with the mechanism. The synchrotilt chair mechanism is for use on a chair that has a base assembly with an extending pedestal, a seat, and a back. The synchrotilt mechanism includes a chassis that is coupled to the pedestal and a seat plate that is coupled to the chassis and to the chair seat. The seat plate slides relative to the chassis. The synchrotilt mechanism further includes a multipurpose adjustment mechanism that can adjust both the height of the chair as well as the orientation of the seat with respect to the chassis. The multipurpose adjustment mechanism may also lock the seat plate with respect to the chassis, such that the seat will not move when the user reclines the chair.

  • Publication number: 20060180068
Abstract: A tucking attachment for a sewing machine having a tucking blade with one end positioned adjacent material and a tucking blade drive with an output shaft mechanically coupled to the tucking blade. A control, connected to the tucking blade drive, is operable to command the tucking blade drive to move the tucking blade through a programmable displacement to form a tuck in the material adjacent a presser foot of the sewing machine. Thereafter, the sewing machine is operated to sew a number of stitches in the tuck, and the tucking blade is then retracted. Repeating the above cycle of operation permits successive tucks of different lengths to be formed in the material.

  • Patent number: 7089631
Abstract: A mounting hook for a wire array mountable on a seat frame has a first portion having a seating member running longitudinally along the first portion, a second portion having a channel running across the top of the hook and outboard of the hooking surface, and a hooking member running transversely to the channel and parallel to the seating member. The first, second and third portions define a hooking surface. A method of seat assembly consists of a wire array connecting to mounting hooks by running a mounting wire through the wire seating member of the mounting hook. Such wire is then bent to a transverse angle. After such wire is bent, the mounting hook is slid to the bent area. The bent area is then placed into the channel. The wire array is then ready for mounting on the seat frame through the use of the hooks.

  • Patent number: 7090301
Abstract: The invention is a lumbar support structure adapted to attach to a frame of a seat. An upper support bar and a lower support bar attach to the frame of the seat. A plurality of vertical springwires connect to the support bars. Spacers are used to maintain a desired distance between each of the springwires. A lumbar portion of the springwires extends away from a plane containing the support bars. By utilizing different diameter springwires and different shaped lumbar portions a saddle support distribution is created. The saddle support distribution allows the structure to customize the response to an occupant sitting in the seat.
