Abstract: A gas compression system includes at least one first compressor provided with at least one first cylinder and one second cylinder that are combined together such that a gas to be compressed, which is taken into the first cylinder at an intake pressure, is compressed by the intake of an engine gas to the second cylinder. The system further includes a pressure checking device to check the pressure of the engine gas during the feeding thereof into the second cylinder. The pressure checking device includes a pressure detector for measuring the pressure of the gas to be compressed during the intake thereof to the first cylinder; and a regulator for adjusting the flow rate of the engine gas in the second cylinder such that the pressure of the gas to be compressed is constant during the intake thereof to the first cylinder.

Abstract: An artificial magnetic conductor having a surface impedance greater than 100 ?, includes a ground plane, and a frequency-selective surface that is transparent for certain wavelengths and reflective for a range of wavelengths. The frequency-selective surface includes an array of conductive resonant elements arranged alongside one another in at least two different directions parallel to the ground plane. Each of these conductive resonant elements includes a sub-layer of ferromagnetic material having a relative permeability greater than 10 at a frequency of 2 GHz and having a thickness less than the skin thickness of the ferromagnetic material.

Abstract: The present invention comprises a composition for hair cleansing and conditioning, including at least one anionic surfactant, at least one cationic hair conditioning agent, and an acrylate-based polymer capable of thickening and stabilizing the composition, wherein the composition is essentially free of sulfate-based surfactant and silicone-based hair conditioning agent. In addition, the invention also comprises a method of cleansing and conditioning hair by providing a composition having at least one anionic surfactant, at least one cationic hair conditioning agent, and an acrylate-based polymer capable of thickening and stabilizing the composition, applying the composition to treat the hair of a user and rinsing the treated hair with sufficient amount of water.

Abstract: A roller shutter for an opening leaf of a building, includes a retractable shut-off panel that moves between retracted and deployed positions, and a guide to selectively guide the panel a path between the retracted position and a deployed position in a first plane, and another path is a path between the retracted position and a deployed position in a second plane parallel to said first plane. The guide selectively switches movement of between said first path and said second path. A deployment-switching stop guides the shut-off panel along the second path when the shut-off panel is in contact with the deployment switching stop and the shaft is driven in a direction of rotation for deployment.

Abstract: The invention relates to a radiation detection device including a silicon substrate and an infrared photodiode made of a material optimized for infrared detection. The substrate comprises a photosensitive area, readout circuits, and interconnects formed in an electrically-insulating material. The interconnects and the metal contact connect the readout circuits, the photosensitive areas, and the infrared photodiode. The detection device also comprises an infrared radiation filtering structure which covers the photosensitive area without covering the infrared photodiode.

Abstract: In an image-encoding scheme, an input image is decomposed into several image blocks comprising multiple image elements. The image blocks are encoded into encoded block representations. In this encoding, color weights are assigned to the image elements in the block based on their relative positions in the block. At least two color codeword are determined, at least partly based on the color weights. These codewords are representations of at least two color values. The original colors of the image elements are represented by color representations derivable from combinations of the at least two color values weighted by the assigned color weights.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process for dyeing and/or lightening keratin fibres such as the hair, using i) at least one cationic direct dye bearing a disulfide, thiol or protected thiol function especially of formula (I) as defined in the description and ii) water vapour. The invention also relates to the use i) of at least one cationic direct dye bearing a disulfide, thiol or protected thiol function combined with ii) water vapour, for dyeing and lightening keratin fibres, and to the use of water vapour for grafting onto keratin fibres dyes bearing a disulfide, thiol or protected thiol function. The process used and the use of thiol, protected thiol or disulfide dyes combined with water vapour makes it possible especially to obtain a long-lasting coloration on keratin fibres without the use of a reducing agent and without odour.

Physical application is a coating composition containing materials including a fire and heat resistance means, lower peak heat release means, lower heat released per unit time means, higher temperature gradient means, low flame spread means, high ignition delay means, low peak heat release means, low total heat release means, high thermal stability means, elastic and coating thickness encasement means and heat. Chemical applications consist of chemical additive which are naturally more fire safe.

The near end radio link node (201n, 501n) is connected to a far end radio link node (201f, 501f) via a radio link (202). The near end radio link node (201n, 501n) obtains a granted rate of traffic on the radio link (202) between the near end radio link node (201n, 501n) and the far end radio link node (201f, 501f). The near end radio link node (201n, 501n) obtains a demanded rate of the traffic between the near end radio link node (201n, 501n) and the far end radio link node (201f, 501f). The near end radio link node (201n, 501n) controls power consumption for the radio link system (200, 500) based on the granted rate and the demanded rate.

Abstract: A method and arrangement for enabling creation of customized recommendations of items for persons (100) using a consumption device (102). Consumption samples are registered which refer to the consumption of items on the consumption device. Then, ratings of predefined features are determined from the consumption samples to form an aggregated profile (104b) of the persons. Individual taste profiles (104d) are then extracted from the aggregated profile by using an ICA algorithm (104c). Each taste profile reflects a distinct taste amongst the persons. The individual taste profiles can then be provided to a recommendation system (106) which is able to create customized recommendations of items (110).

Abstract: According to an aspect of the present invention there is provided a method of operating a communication device, the communication device being part of a group comprising two or more communication devices that share a subscription to a communication network. The method comprises receiving a group authentication challenge from the network, at least part of the group authentication challenge having been generated using group authentication information that is associated with the shared subscription. The device then generates a device specific response to the group authentication challenge using the group authentication information and device specific authentication information and sends the device specific response to the network. The device is for example a member of a machine-type communication device group.

Abstract: It is presented a method, executed in a media receiver connected to a media server in parallel via an internet protocol, IP, network and a cable television network. The method comprises the steps of: sending a media setup message to a middleware server, the media setup message comprising a content identifier, IP routing data and cable television routing data; receiving a setup confirmation message from the middleware server, the setup confirmation message comprising a transport indicator indicating which one of the IP network and the cable television network is to be used for media streaming from the media server to the media receiver; and receiving a media stream from the media server using either the IP network or the cable television network, as indicated by the transport indicator. Corresponding media receiver, middleware server, computer programs and computer program products are also presented.

Abstract: A method for monitoring performance of a service delivered to user equipment devices via a communications network as perceived by a user comprising the steps of collecting Resource Service Key Performance Indicators from network resources and collecting System Service Key Performance Indicators from a representative sample of reporting user equipment devices using the service. In the next step relationship between the collected values of R-KPIs and S-KPIs is determined and then userr equipment from the representative sample is clustered. In the following step non-reporting user equipment devices are assigned to the clusters and then the method comprises collecting R-KPIs from network resources to estimate S-KPI values based on the R-KPIs collected after determination of the relationship and the relationship.

An access request is transmitted by the generic application to an interface provision unit. The request includes an identity of the generic application. An instant interface is provided by the interface provision unit to the second environment. The instant interface is determined by the access request and dedicated for the generic application. A response is returned by the interface provision unit to the generic application including an address to the instant interface. Thereby the instant interface permits controlled communication between the generic application and the service application, thus enabling the new controlled communication without changes of the second environment.
