Abstract: A switching matrix connects to an access network and a set of at least two operator networks. A controller performs a method of establishing new connections across the switching matrix in response to new connection requests. The new connection requests involve a sub-set of the set of operator networks. The controller determines if the new connections can be established across the switching matrix by rearranging only existing connections across the switching matrix to the sub-set of operator networks and, in response, establishes the at least one new connection. Otherwise, the controller rearranges existing connections across the switching matrix to at least one other of the set of operator networks to establish the new connections. The controller minimises the number of other operator networks which are involved when rearranging existing connections. The switching matrix can be a Clos switching matrix.

Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to a method in a radio base station (12) for providing radio coverage to a user equipment (10). The radio base station (12) comprises at least two radio antenna ports; a first antenna port (AP 11) associated with a first physical antenna and a second antenna port (AP 12) associated with a second physical antenna. The first antenna port (AP 11) is arranged to provide a radio coverage over a first area (14) and the second antenna port (AP 12) is arranged to provide a radio coverage over a second area (17). The radio base station (12) broadcasts a signal with system information over the first area (14) enabling the radio base station (12) to connect to the user equipment (10). The radio base station (12) also determines that a user equipment (10) in the first area (14) is to receive or transmit data. The radio base station (12) then obtains information related to a position of the user equipment (10) in the first area (14).

Abstract: Chitosan delivers a plasmid encoding Glucagon-Like Peptide 1 (GLP-1) to cells in a patient for gene therapy of diabetes. Chitosan is optimized for plasmid transfection by modulating three of its physico-chemical properties: degree of deacetylation (DDA), molecular weight (MW), and ratio of amines on chitosan to phosphates on DNA (N:P ratio), Chitosan 92-10-5 (DDA-MW-N:P) is more efficient than chitosans 80-10-10 and 80-80-5 in delivering a plasmid encoding luciferase or GLP-1(7-37) to cells. In the Zucker Diabetic Fatty (ZDF) rat model of diabetes, chitosan-delivered pVax plasmid encoding GLP-1 lowers glucose levels, increases insulin production and reduces weight gain.

Abstract: There is provided a method of transmitting feedback information from a mobile terminal in a wireless communication system. The feedback information relates to multi-flow High-Speed Downlink Packet Access, HSDPA, transmissions to the mobile terminal from cells belonging to multiple cell sectors. The cell sectors are sometimes simply referred to as sectors. The method comprises transmitting multiple High-Speed Dedicated Physical Control Channels, HS-DPCCHs, one HS-DPCCH for each sector, such that different HS-DPCCH channels are used to carry feedback information for cells that belong to different sectors. This opens up for a more flexible HS-DPCCH solution, allowing multiple HS-DPCCHs. In this way, the relevant time budget(s) for the mobile terminal and/or base station may be retained or conserved even for multi-flow HSDPA transmission scenarios, thus avoiding re-transmissions of data.
