    Abstract: A noisy frequency-domain channel estimate enhancer includes an over-sampler configured to transform the noisy frequency-domain channel estimate into a time-domain channel estimate that is virtually over-sampled by an integer factor m. The over-sampler is connected to a de-interleaver configured to divide the time-domain channel estimate into m de-interleaved sub-vectors. The de-interleaver is connected to a suppressor configured to suppress noisy taps from each de-interleaved sub-vectors to form m noise suppressed sub-vectors. The suppressor is connected to a selector configured to select a noise suppressed sub-vector associated with a highest signal-to-noise ratio. The selector is connected to a discrete Fourier transformer configured to transform the selected noise suppressed sub-vector into a noise suppressed preliminary frequency-domain channel estimate.

The display sheet comprises a plurality of panels, delimited from adjacent panels by crease lines. The bracing means (2) comprises a single, substantially rigid and foldable bracing sheet (2) having a plurality of bracing panels (50), each of which is delimited from an adjacent bracing panel by a fold line (52). The fold lines (52) and the crease lines are coincident with each other. Such a device is stable in operation and is efficient to use and manufacture.

    Abstract: A method of operating a node for performing handover between access networks wherein a user has authenticated for network access in a first access network. The method comprises receiving from a home network a first session key and a temporary identifier allocated to the user for the duration of a communication session. The identifier is mapped to the first session key, and the mapped identifier and key are stored at the node. A second session key is derived from the first session key and the second session key is sent to an access network, and the identifier sent to a user terminal. When the user subsequently moves to a second access network, the node receives the identifier from the user terminal. The node then retrieves the first session key mapped to the received identifier, derives a third session key and sends the third session key to the second access network.

    Abstract: A technique for cell signature determination in a cellular communication network is provided. A method implementation of this technique comprises the steps of providing a set of hypothesis signals, each hypothesis signal including a signature hypothesis, receiving a composite signal including a first signal portion carrying a first signature from a first cell and a second signal portion carrying a second signature from a second cell, wherein the first signal portion and the second signal portion overlap at least partially in time, and obtaining a correlation result by correlating the composite signal with each hypothesis signal. After the first signature has been determined, a set of phantom signatures associated with the first signature is provided. The phantom signatures represent artifacts from the first signal portion in the correlation result. Finally, the second signature is determined based on the correlation result taking into account the set of phantom signatures associated with the first signature.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for providing efficient utilization of spectrum in a cellular communication network that applies Almost Blank Subframes (ABSs) are disclosed.
