Patent number: 8453306Abstract: The present invention generally relates to an apparatus and a method used to upholster a box-spring frame. A textile tape with a portion encapsulating a draw cord is sewn to the inner perimeter of a border material. The other edge of the border material is sewn to a top cover material. The box-spring frame is placed within this assembly, with the top side of the frame abutting the top cover. This assembly is placed in the attachment apparatus. The attachment apparatus optionally compresses the box-spring frame and is equipped with a pair of tension applicators. Once in place, each of the two draw cord ends are secured to a corresponding tension applicator, and tension is applied to the draw cord. This tension tightens the border assembly edge around the frame. With the proper tension applied, the draw cord is secured to the box-spring frame. The bottom cover is then attached in the conventional manner with a series of staples.Type: GrantFiled: July 16, 2008Date of Patent: June 4, 2013Assignee: L & P Property Management CompanyInventors: Mark Mazza, Bernard Simon, Steve Wall, Janet Walker, Roger Tornero

Patent number: 8458779Abstract: A system, method, and client registration and verification device for handling personal identification information. The client device collects from an individual, a sufficient amount of biometric information to uniquely identify the individual, as well as historical mobility information providing a history of locations where the individual has lived. A caching manager stores the collected biometric information at a selected cache node in a hierarchical database having a plurality of cache nodes at multiple levels of the database. The caching manager selects the cache node based on the historical mobility information collected from the individual. The client device sends subsequent requests to verify the identity of the individual to a local cache node where newly input biometric information is compared with the cached information.Type: GrantFiled: June 21, 2010Date of Patent: June 4, 2013Assignee: Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson (publ)Inventors: Eric Lee Valentine, Inayat Syed

Publication number: 20130136210Abstract: Demodulation methods and apparatus for a multi-stage SLI demodulator are disclosed. Residual signals from each demodulation stage are modeled as finite sets of unresolved signals and a new metric is introduced for use in search of best candidate symbol estimates. The metric may be evaluated based on a probability distribution function of the residual signals or a probability mass function of the unresolved signals. The metric may also be approximated by the sum of a conventional Euclidean metric and a correction metric. The best candidate symbol estimates generated from each stage of the multi-stage SLI demodulator are summed to form cumulative symbol estimates.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 29, 2011Publication date: May 30, 2013Applicant: Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson (publ)Inventors: Ali S. Publication number: 20130136091Abstract: For efficiently handling network traffic via a fixed access, classification of UL data traffic in a communication device (100) may be accomplished in a reflective mode by detecting identifiers of outgoing uplink data packets which are complementary to identifiers of incoming downlink data packets. The downlink data packets are already assigned to the traffic classes (50). The outgoing uplink data packets carrying the complementary identifier are assigned to the same traffic class (50) as the incoming downlink data packets. For this purpose, the communication device (100) is provided with a traffic classificator (110). In the reflective mode, the traffic classificator (110) locally generates uplink packet classification rules (115) by monitoring received downlink data packets.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 29, 2010Publication date: May 30, 2013Applicant: TELEFONAKTIEBOLAGET L M ERICSSON (PUBL)Inventors: Reiner Ludwig, Hannes Ekström
