Abstract: A voltage regulator circuit includes a first voltage regulator having a first output voltage selection pin set and producing a first output voltage based on a first digital signal received at the first output voltage selection pin set, and a second voltage regulator having a second output voltage selection pin set and producing a second output voltage based on a second digital signal received at the second output voltage selection pin set. The first and second voltage regulators are operable in a voltage tracking mode with the output voltage of the second voltage regulator tracking the output voltage of the first voltage regulator when digital signals received at the selection pin sets have a same value. An overvoltage sensor detects overvoltage events at the first voltage regulator. Control circuitry selectively avoids operation in voltage tracking mode as a result of an overvoltage event detected at the first voltage regulator.

Abstract: A rotary electric machine includes an enclosure delimiting an internal space for stator and rotor units. An access hole gives access to the internal space. An internal gasket encircles the access hole adjacent a wall of the enclosure. A closing element is disposed in the internal space, movable towards and away from the wall between a closed configuration compressing the gasket to seal the access hole and an open configuration connecting the internal space with the surrounding atmosphere. An elastic device operates to move the closing element from the open to closed configurations to compress the gasket and seal the access hole. The closing element has a pressure surface facing the access hole and accessible through the access hole via a pin. Pressing the pressure surface causes the closing element to move from the closed configuration to the open configuration.

Abstract: Key switches of the inventive subject matter are designed to give users the tactile feel of key switches from expensive mechanical keyboards without drawback typically associated with alternative key switches. In some embodiments, key switches described in this application are designed to function with a sheet of membrane switches. These embodiments feature a plunger and rocker combination that prevents the pressure from a user's key press from being directly transferred to a membrane switch, thereby reducing wear and tear.

Abstract: Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to time-based visualizations for network virtualization platforms (“NVPs”). A computer system can obtain data associated with an NVP. The data can include present state data associated with a present state of the NVP, past state data associated with a past state of the NVP, and future state data associated with a predicted future state of the NVP. The computer system can generate a visualization of the data associated with the NVP. The computer system can present a temporal management function that includes a plurality of selections representative of the present state, the past state, and the predicted future state. The computer system can receive a selection, from the plurality of selections, of the present state, the past state, or the predicted future state. The computer system can manipulate the visualization in accordance with the selection and output the visualization.

Abstract: A thin device (TDev) is tagged to identify the TDev as being used to access snapshot data on the storage system. If a snapshot is to be shipped to a cloud repository, the tagged TDev is linked to the snapshot, and mounted to a cloud tethering subsystem. When the tagged TDev is linked to the cloud tethering subsystem, the snapshot subsystem reads the thin device tag and, if the thin device is tagged, selectively does not execute a define process on the tagged thin device. By not executing the define process, the tracks of the thin device do not contain metadata identifying the location of the snapshot data on the storage system. Writes to source do not require a private copy of the old data for the snapshot, even if the snapshot is created in a different storage resource pool than the source data volume.

Abstract: An imaging apparatus includes a transfer belt, a transfer roller, a conductive roller, and a power source. The transfer roller includes a metal shaft electrically floating during an imaging operation. The conductive roller has an electrical resistance lower than an electrical resistance of the transfer roller. The power source is electrically connected to the conductive roller, and the power source includes a first supply path to supply a first electrical bias to the conductive roller during an imaging operation and a second supply path to supply a second electrical bias to the transfer roller during a cleaning operation.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a network API service that receives network event data and provides performance hints to a resource manager that manages application containers at edge cloud locations. Network event data may be received from access networks, core networks, nodes within access networks or core networks, or the like. Performance hints may allow booting of application containers at edge cloud locations. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: A processing system may determine, during a downloading of a first video chunk associated with a first time block of a video, a risk of stall condition, the first video chunk encoded at a first bitrate of a plurality of available bitrates, determine that a number of a received first plurality of frames of the first video chunk exceeds a threshold, transmit a request for a next video chunk associated with a next time block of the video and an indication to a source device to stop transmitting additional frames of the first video chunk, receive a second plurality of frames of the first video chunk from the source device that were transmitted prior to the source device receiving the indication, receive frames of the next video chunk, and play the first and second plurality of frames of the first video chunk, and the frames of the next video chunk.

Abstract: A processing system including at least one processor may collect a first set of time series features relating to requests for a content item at a content distribution node in a communication network, generate a first prediction model based upon the first set of time series features to predict levels of demand for the content item at the content distribution node at future time periods, identify, via the first prediction model, a first time period of the future time periods when a predicted level of demand for the content item exceeds a threshold level of demand, identify a second time period of the future time periods when a predicted level of utilization of the communication network is below a threshold level of utilization, the second time period being prior to the first time period, and transfer the content item to the content distribution node in the second time period.

Abstract: A method for managing data includes identifying, by a compute acceleration device (CAD), a first chunk to be health-checked using storage metadata, generating a first chunk identifier using the first chunk, making a determination that the first chunk identifier does not match a second chunk identifier stored in the storage metadata, and in response to the determination: obtaining a plurality of chunks associated with the first chunk, regenerating the first chunk using the plurality of chunks to generate a new first chunk, storing the new first chunk in a data node, wherein the CAD is executing in the data node, updating the storage metadata based on storage of the new first chunk to obtain updated storage metadata, and sending a copy of the updated storage metadata to at least one other CAD in a second data node.

Abstract: A method of determining feature usage on a set of storage systems deployed across multiple customer sites includes defining metrics related to the features of interest, and pushing the defined metrics to an AIM (Autonomous Infrastructure Module) of an operating system of each storage system. The AIM on each storage system collects data associated with the metrics from the operating system on the storage system. The collected data is aggregated and formatted by the AIM and then used to create an autonomous field telemetry report. Autonomous field telemetry reports are periodically forwarded on a communication network to an analytics engine. The analytics engine parses each autonomous field telemetry report to extract usage information related to the features of interest, loads the parsed data to PostgreSQL staging and historical databases, and uses the parsed data alone or in combination with the historical data to create analytics and visualizations of the analytics.

Abstract: A surgical delivery instrument for delivering a vascular hole closure device having a hole covering member. The delivery instrument comprises a housing, a plunger and an advancer movable within the housing, the advancer having a first portion and a distal portion hingedly connected to the first portion and forming a casing for supporting the hole covering member. Distal movement of the advancer pivots the casing from an angled position to a more linear position to change the orientation of the covering member from a transverse position to a more aligned position. The plunger is advanceable to advance the covering member into the vessel.

The wireless communication network comprises network circuitry. The network circuitry executes wireless network functions and media content functions. The media content functions distribute network addresses to the wireless UEs which use the network addresses to transfer media-content for the media-content service. The wireless network functions monitor performance of the media content functions. The wireless network functions prioritize the media content functions based on their performance. The wireless network functions transfer the prioritized list of the media content functions to the wireless UEs. The wireless UEs communicate with the media content functions on a priority basis responsive to the prioritized list.
