Patent number: 11325097Abstract: A reactor and process for the production of bio-diesel. The reactor includes one or more coiled reaction lines. The lines are positioned within a tank containing a heat transfer media such as molten salt, maintained at about 750° F. A pump circulates the media within the tank. An emulsion of alcohol; refined feed stock, including glycerides and/or fatty acids; and preferably water is pumped through the reaction lines at temperatures and pressures sufficient to maintain the alcohol in a super-critical state. The curvature of the coils, pump pulsing, and the flow rate of the emulsion keep the emulsion in a turbulent state while in the reactor, ensuring thorough mixing of the alcohol and feed stock. The alcohol reacts with the glycerides and fatty acids to form bio-diesel. The reaction is fast, efficient with regard to energy input and waste generation, and requires minimal alcohol.Type: GrantFiled: October 20, 2020Date of Patent: May 10, 2022Assignee: LOUISIANA ECO GREEN, L.L.C.Inventors: Kemper J McSpadden, Gerard M Thomassie

Patent number: 11330317Abstract: Introduced here are systems to manage and discover a processing offloader. A first multimedia device may identify a processing offloader in a networked environment. A first multimedia device may determine that a bandwidth of a second multimedia device in the networked environment falls below a threshold bandwidth, indicating that the second multimedia device may process instructions and render multimedia information with increased latency or delay. Based on this determination, the first multimedia device may forward instructions from the second multimedia device to the processing offloader for the processing offloader to process and render multimedia information on behalf of the second multimedia device based on the received instructions. The first multimedia device may forward rendered multimedia information from the processing offloader to the second multimedia device, and the second multimedia device may output the rendered multimedia information to an output device.Type: GrantFiled: December 23, 2019Date of Patent: May 10, 2022Assignee: DISH Network L.L.C.Inventors: Manuel Novoa, III, Kan Man Wong, Vishal Neeralike, Shiqiang Chu, Aram Semerjyan, Anthony Bond, Michael Song, Anthony Kallas, Derick Wong

Patent number: 11327543Abstract: A power converter device health check system includes a circuit that connects a power input to a power output, and that includes a first transistor directly coupled to ground and a capacitor in parallel with the first transistor. A controller device is coupled to the circuit and, during boot operations, prevents first power from being provided to the first transistor via the power input, and turns off the first transistor. While preventing the first power from being provided to the first transistor and with the first transistor turned off, the controller device provides second power to a circuit location in the circuit between the first transistor and the capacitor, and then determines whether a charge of the capacitor is below a threshold charge level. If the capacitor is below the threshold charge level, the controller device transmits a power converter warning message.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 2019Date of Patent: May 10, 2022Assignee: Dell Products L.P.Inventors: Haifang Zhai, Wei Dong, Xizhi Cui
