Abstract: Content receiver systems, methods, and machine-readable media to facilitate adaptive voice interaction are disclosed. An audio cue may be detected and mapped to a first viewer in proximity of an audio sensor. Sensor-based data that is based on the audio sensor capturing audio phenomena in the proximity may be received. A set of rules specified by an operations protocol may be accessed. The set of rules may include criteria for mapping a recognition of voice data to operations of a content receiver. The sensor-based data may correspond to a recognition of first voice data of the first viewer. A rule of the set of rules may be used to map the sensor-based data to an operation of the content receiver. Responsive to the audio cue, the content receiver may be caused to perform the operation.

Abstract: A system for extinguishing a fire and/or preventing a fire from starting or restarting in an electric vehicle having a module or a battery pack with a plurality of electrochemical batteries, in particular metal-ion batteries, includes a self-supporting inflatable structure, the shape and dimensions of which when deployed are configured to lift the electric vehicle off the ground, create a liner between the ground and the electric vehicle, and create a peripheral barrier in continuity with the liner, which is closed upon itself, around the electric vehicle. The system also includes a liquid supply device for filling, at least partially, the sealed volume delimited inside the peripheral barrier and by the liner, so as to immerse at least the module or battery pack in the liquid.

Abstract: A method and a machine for emulsifying milk, of the kind having a steam wand in a professional coffee-making machine, having means of producing different technical characteristics of the emulsion depending on the taste of the consumer through the use of different nozzles and at least one control unit to adjust the parameters of temperature, air and steam flow rate, for an optimal degree of emulsification. It has an automatic internal cleaning system for the steam wand once the emulsion cycle is finished, operated by a unit that controls the steam coming from the boiler in order to guarantee proper aseptic conditions for the unit, as well as safety elements to prevent the risk of burns to the user upon detecting the position of the wand, allowing or preventing the issuance of steam from it. Intended for the industrial sector dedicated to the manufacture of coffee-making machines.

Abstract: A BIOS may include a plurality of BIOS attributes associated with the information handling system, each attribute of the plurality of BIOS attributes having metadata defining a priority for such attribute. The BIOS may also include an attribute engine configured to execute a preboot process prior to booting of an operating system of the information handling system, wherein the preboot process is configured to identify boot-critical attributes of the plurality of BIOS attributes based on the metadata and load the boot-critical attributes. The attribute engine may also execute a steady-state process after booting of the operating system of the information handling system, wherein the steady-state process is configured to load attributes of the plurality of BIOS attributes other than the boot-critical attributes in an order based on the metadata.

The additive manufacturing system includes an additive manufacturing device to form a three-dimensional (3D) printed object. The additive manufacturing system also includes a placement device to embed at least a portion of a container structure into the 3D printed object. The container structure expels a payload when a predetermined condition is met. A controller of the additive manufacturing system controls additive manufacturing and placement of the portion of the container structure.

Abstract: A system and method mediate transfer of encrypted data files between local applications and external computer systems. Application containers perform cryptographic operations using stored credentials to decrypt data coming from these external systems and configurably forward them to the local applications, and to encrypt data sent from the local applications to the external systems. Access to this encryption-as-a-service (EaaS) functionality is gated by a fingerprint service that classifies requests by security level, and detects anomalous requests. Security classification is performed by a supervised machine learning algorithm, while anomalous request detection is performed by unsupervised machine learning algorithm. Stored keys are monitored, and when they near expiration or are damaged, embodiments proactively undertake key renewal and key exchange with the external computer systems. Containerization enables key storage in multiple vaults, thereby making such storage vendor-agnostic.

Abstract: A method and system for certifying an interaction of an infrastructure component with a device in the course of the device lifecycle are described. The method comprises accessing device identification data that identifies the device, generating validation data on the basis of device identification data and component identification data to certify an interaction of the device with the infrastructure component and communicating a request to store the validation data in a secure ledger. The secure ledger comprises a ledger entry for each interaction of the device with an infrastructure component.

Abstract: Multi-stage sporting events, such as triathlons, can present particular challenges regarding collection and processing of exercise data. For example, the general length of certain multi-stage sporting events can be problematic regarding battery life for conventional tracking devices, particularly if such devices include a relatively high quantity of sensors and/or sensors that consume particularly high amounts of power during use. This disclosure presents power management functionality to address this challenge. Multi-stage sporting events can also present challenges regarding the need to switch between different sets of sensors to measure particular parameters for a given activity. This disclosure present functionality for automatic touchless transitioning between stages of an event.

Abstract: We report a method of automatically titrating an electrical therapy administered to a patient by an implanted medical device to a target dosage, comprising programming the medical device with a programmed electrical therapy comprising a first target value for a first therapy parameter; programming at least one titration parameter for automatically adjusting the first therapy parameter from a first value to the first target value over a titration time period initiating the electrical therapy, wherein the first therapy parameter comprises said first value; and automatically titrating the electrical therapy by making a plurality of adjustments to the value of the first therapy parameter, whereby the first electrical therapy parameter is changed from the first value to the first target value according to a titration function. We also report a medical device system configured to implement the method.

Abstract: In an example there is provided a method of authenticating a user. An authentication challenge is received in response to a request to authenticate a user. The challenge is distributed to each device from a subset of a set of registered devices. At each device a share of an authentication token is accessed and a partial response to the challenge is generated based on an authentication token and challenge. A response to the challenge is generated by combining the partial responses from the subset of devices, and is communicated to an authenticator. The user is authenticated when the subset of devices is an authorised subset. Every authorised subset of the set of registered devices comprises at least one device from the first group of devices.
