Abstract: The invention relates to a method for distinguishing between LOCATION REPORT messages to avoid ambiguities. Therefore, a value of an information element of request type is returned by a radio network controller, depending on an intended receiver of the location information. A control node receiving the information element value analyses said value and determines the receiver depending on the result of said analysis.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a network control node in a wireless communications system, for controlling bandwidth and controlling access in a femto cell. According to the method of the present invention, info?nation on an available bandwidth measured between a femto RBS serving the femto cell, and a network node, is determined and provided to the network control node. Information on a bandwidth purchased by at least one subscribing user in the femto cell is also acquired at the network control node. The method further comprises calculating in the network control node and based on the provided information, a bandwidth that the wireless network can provide to non-subscribing users in the femto cell and further controlling the bandwidth and controlling access in the cell based in the calculated bandwidth.

Abstract: An echo detector includes means (34) for forming a set of distance measures between pitch estimates of a first signal and pitch estimates of a second signal at predetermined delays with respect to the first signal. A selector (36) selects a distance measure from the set corresponding to the highest similarity between the first and second signals. A classifier (32) classifies the second signal as including an echo if the selected distance measure has a predetermined relation to a similarity threshold (TH).
Abstract: A method for timing a full duplex pulsed wireless communication system between first and second transceivers is disclosed. At least one of the transceivers is mobile. A propagation time between the first and second transceivers is calculated. A pulse period of the first transceiver is set to be twice the propagation time divided by an integer. The second transceiver's pulse period is set to be equal to the pulse period of the first transceiver to enable the first and second transceivers to transmit and receive pulses with a substantially reduced risk of a collision between pulses transmitted from the first and second transceivers.

Abstract: A system and method of magnetically insulating the cathode of a cold-cathode electron gun is achieved. A strong magnetic field is applied in the vicinity of the cold cathode to deflect and constrain the flow of electrons emitted from structures within the electron gun. The magnetic field largely prevents re-reflected primary and secondary electrons from reaching the cathode, thereby improving the operation and increasing the life of the cold-cathode electron gun. In addition, the insulating magnetic field improves electron beam focusing and enables a reduction in the magnitude of static electric focusing fields employed in the vicinity of the cold cathode, further reducing the electron gun's susceptibility to destructive arcing.

Abstract: A method of correcting an error in user input is described. The method includes monitoring for an occurrence of a shake in a user equipment, detecting a shake, comparing the detected shake with a threshold value, evaluating characters within a pre-determined distance of a character entered by the user during the shake, selecting a replacement character from the evaluated characters and replacing the entered character with the replacement character.

Abstract: A distributed simulation system is composed of simulator stations linked over a network that each renders real-time video imagery for its user from scene data stored in its data storage. The simulation stations are each connected with a physics farm that manages the virtual objects in the shared virtual environment based on their physical attribute data using physics engines, including an engine at each simulation station. The physics engines of the physics farm are assigned virtual objects so as to reduce the effects of latency, to ensure fair fight requirements of the system, and, where the simulation is of a vehicle, to accurately model the ownship of the user at the station. A synchronizer system is also provided that allows for action of simulated entities relying on localized closed loop controls to cause the entities to meet specific goal points at specified system time points.

Abstract: A bedding or seating product comprising a spring assembly, including a plurality of bands of coil springs. If desired, one or two rectangular border wires may be clipped to the spring assembly. Each band of coil springs is made of a single piece of wire shaped to define a plurality of coil springs connected by innerconnecting segments. Each of the coil springs has a tapered central spiral portion defining a central spring axis and terminating at opposed ends with upper and lower end turns. The bands of springs may be arranged in any desired orientation and may be connected by helical lacing wires.

Abstract: A seating unit that includes a linkage mechanism adapted to adjust between closed, extended, and reclined positions is provided. The linkage mechanism includes a seat-mounting plate mounted to a footrest assembly, a back-mounting link and a rear bellcrank both rotatably coupled to the seat-mounting plate, an activator bar that controls a footrest drive link, and a linear actuator for carrying out automated adjustment of the linkage assembly. In operation, a stroke in a first phase of the linear actuator generates a torque on the activator bar. The footrest drive link converts the torque into a laterally-directed force that pushes the footrest assembly into the extended position. A stroke in the second phase acts to push the activator bar forward and translate the seat-mounting plate forward at a consistent inclination angle. The forward translation causes the rear bellcrank to rotate, thereby biasing the back-mounting link rearward into the reclined position.
Abstract: A wringer comprising an upper section having a first inner diameter, a lower section having a second inner diameter which is less than the first inner diameter, and an intermediate section which forms a single inwardly projecting annular crease delimiting a central throat having a third inner diameter which in the rest position is at least equal to the second inner diameter. The annular crease is deformable by compression between the upper and lower sections into a wringing position in which the central throat is narrowed.

Abstract: A furniture product includes a folding mechanism that folds into a seat frame. The folding mechanism includes a rear section, a middle section, and a front section, with the rear and middle sections being received in a cavity in the back of the seat frame when the product is in a stowed, seating position. Upon receiving a user input, a position motor deploys the folding mechanism into a sleeping position. Upon achieving the sleeping position, an inflation switch is engaged. An air pump disposed in or near the furniture product is activated in response to engagement of the inflation switch. To return the product to a stowed, seating position, a user input causes the air pump to deflate the mattress and the position motor to fold the folding mechanism into the seat frame.
