Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and arrangements in a wireless communication system that enable the allocation of resources to UEs based on measurements of their antenna polarization, in order to suppress the interference between different UEs at a very low overhead cost. This is achieved by a solution where the scheduling unit retrieves information about the polarization of the UE antenna configurations, and based on this information allocates radio resources to the different UEs, with the aim to minimize the interference. The scheduling unit may retrieve the information from the RBSs or from the UEs. The RBS and the UE will determine the polarization and transmit information regarding this polarization to the scheduling unit. The scheduling unit coordinates the allocation of resources with other scheduling units if necessary.

Abstract: A demodulator including a delay line adapted for receiving an input signal at an input frequency, phase or frequency modulated by symbols with a duration equal to a period of the input signal or very close to that period. The delay line has Nd outputs producing Nd signals at the input frequency but with Nd different delays offset by ?T relative to one another, Nd being an integer number greater than or equal to 1. The demodulator also includes a register of Nd latches each receiving a respective output of the delay line and a clock signal which is the input signal, in order to store the state of the outputs of the delay lines at the end of a period of the clock signal in the register . The content of the register represents a value of an input signal modulation symbol.

Abstract: Techniques are described for adapting receiver settings used by a mobile terminal operating in a heterogeneous network comprising macro cells and pico cells with overlapping coverage areas. A first set of subframes is allocated to the pico cells for downlink transmissions to a mobile terminal in a link imbalance zone. The mobile terminal acquires information about the subframe allocation and uses the subframe allocation information to select the signals used for adapting receiver settings used when operating in the link imbalance zone.

Abstract: A method for limiting Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) reporting from a User Equipment to a network node is provided where a User Equipment can transmit CQI reports to a network node, such as e.g. a base station, when the User Equipment is operating in low transmission and/or low reception activity mode. A limited CQI reporting is obtained by triggering the reporting according to one or more predefined rules, which to at least some extent depend on CQI specific information provided to the User Equipment from the network node. A User Equipment and a network node adapted to operate in accordance with the suggested method are also provided.

Abstract: The present invention relates to network nodes and methods that use an encoding scheme for encoding a point-to-multipoint traffic path from one ingress node to a plurality of egress nodes in, for example, a Multi-Protocol Label Switching network. According to the encoding scheme a so-called common ERO is used. The common ERO specifies a list consisting of nodes that are common to several sub paths in order to provide a compression mechanism that reduces the size of path messages that are used for signaling the point-to-multipoint traffic path.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for estimating the amount of entities deposited on microparticles in suspension in a solution, and also to an associated device. The method comprises the following steps: (a) the solution is illuminated with a light source; (b) an optical signal formed by the scattering, in the solution, of the illuminating light is detected; (c) the optical signal obtained in step (b) is analyzed in order to obtain an indicator relating to this signal; (d) the indicator obtained in step (c) is compared with a reference indicator, obtained for a reference solution, the comparison making it possible to estimate the amount of entities deposited on the microparticles.

Abstract: Systems and methods for detecting and/or identifying signals that employ streaming processing to generate time-frequency surfaces by sampling a datastream according to a temporal structure that may be chosen as needed. The sampled datastream may be correlated with a set of templates that span the band of interest in a continuous manner, and used to generate time-frequency surfaces from irregularly sampled data with arbitrary structure that has been sampled with non-constant and non-Nyquist sampling rates where such non-constant rates are needed or desired.

Abstract: The angle of arrival is estimated for a received signal received by an array of commutated antenna elements, wherein there is a temporal boundary at the instant of commutation between antenna elements. Samples of the signal received by the elements of the array are preprocessed to construct maximum-likelihood-estimates of the received signal for points in time that are immediately adjacent the temporal boundaries and thereby provide a preprocessed signal. A maximum-likelihood-estimation of the angle of arrival of the received signal is made for the array of commutated antenna elements by processing the preprocessed signal.
Abstract: The electricity transmission device comprises prolonged rigid conductors made of copper, and also a connector comprising a network of flexible elements, such as brazed tubes with cooling channels for the conductors, that enables angular displacements between the successive segments and therefore gives a flexibility absorbing small displacements of the device. A lifting manoeuvre system is associated with the segments. The segments may be joined to other elements of the device through connections with jaws enabling slipping.

Abstract: A method and a device for channel response determination for a wireless communication system. The method comprises generating a first vector of channel responses from channel estimations obtained by using a training signal. A second vector of regularized channel responses is generated by applying to the first vector a regularization algorithm. The algorithm is operative such that a second difference between consecutive regularized channel responses of the second vector is less than a first difference between consecutive channel responses of the first vector.
Abstract: The invention relates to media management and combats media degradations arising when transcoding the media. The invention solves this by—generating processing hints based on the media transcoding. The hints are employed for controlling a post-transcoding processing of the transcoded media content in connection with rendering the media. The hints and this controlled processing increases the user-perceived quality when rendering the media by mitigating the media degradations caused by the transcoding. The processing hints could specify how the actual transcoding was performed by including values of the employed transcoding parameters or information of the alterations to the media caused by transcoding. Furthermore, instructions or commands for appropriate post-transcoding processing could also be processing hints according to the invention.
