  • Patent number: 8081044
Abstract: A surface-mountable waveguide arrangement comprising a dielectric carrier material having a first main side and a second main side, the second side comprising a ground plane, and the first side being arranged to form a microwave circuit layout by means of metallization patterns on the respective sides. The microwave circuit layout comprises a footprint for a surface-mountable waveguide part, the waveguide part comprising an open side, a part of the footprint constituting a closing wall arranged for closing the open side. The waveguide part is arranged for being mounted to a footprint solder area comprised in the footprint, having an outer contour and corresponding to a solderable contact area on the waveguide part. A solderstop line is formed on the footprint, at least partly defining a border between the closing wall and the footprint solder area. The present invention also relates to a dielectric carrier.

  • Patent number: 8081569
Abstract: The number of connection setup request packets that are accepted for processing by a network element are dynamically adjusted based on the run time capacity of the network element. The number of accepted connection setup request packets that can be initiated for processing are dynamically modified based on the processor utilization and average latency of completion of processing the connection setup requests. The network element can apply a scheduling policy to those connection setup request packets to differentiate the processing treatment of different types of connection setup requests.

  • Patent number: 8079527
Abstract: The fabrication method comprises a step of exposing at least one organic diode to a gas, before packaging of the device, to form a plurality of randomly distributed black spots by impairment. Increasing the exposure time enables the size of the black spots to be increased, also randomly. The surface distribution of the black spots, visible by electroluminescence, enables an object associated with this distribution to be identified in reliable manner.

  • Publication number: 20110307407
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for increasing the robustness of optimization solutions for bulk gas distribution, relative to uncertain events such as unexpected plant outages. The techniques actively consider different assumptions regarding unexpected plant outages while searching for a solution (i.e., when generating a delivery schedule). A robust solution (delivery schedule) is one on which a plant outage only has a limited impact. A computer-implemented delivery scheduling application may identify a robust solution that performs well with respect to a range of uncertain future conditions (e.g., a variety of plant outages), at the lowest additional cost to the producer/distributor relative to other solutions.
