    Abstract: An electrical connector system that has a base, a back cover, and a seal. The base has a housing that includes a first perimeter wall and a second perimeter wall spaced from the first perimeter wall. The first perimeter wall defines a first opening. The second perimeter wall defines a second opening. The back cover includes a plate configured to be secured against the second perimeter wall to cover the second opening and a seal securement flange that is configured to fit within the second perimeter wall when the back cover is in a closed position relative to the base. The seal extends around a perimeter of the seal securement flange, is retained by and movable with the back cover, and is configured to be elastically compressed between the seal securement flange and an inner surface of the second perimeter wall when the back cover is in the closed position.

The end wall including a CPA cavity configured to be aligned with and located adjacent to the CPA engagement recess when the end wall is located in a fully seated position adjacent to the connector body. The CPA element retained by and longitudinally slidable with the slider and telescopically slidable in a lateral direction relative to the CPA cavity. The CPA element has a catch configured to operatively engage the CPA engagement recess when the end wall is in the fully seated position and the CPA element is laterally slid into the CPA cavity into a final lock position.
