In the present invention, a pattern matching engine 210 corresponding to a first security module initially performs a hardware-based filtering process for a static attack of an input network packet and transmits a normal packet determined to be normal as a result of the filtering to a dynamic attack detection module 230 corresponding to a second security module through a PL3 interface. The dynamic attack detection module 230 performs a hardware-based filtering process for a dynamic attack of the normal packet transmitted from the pattern matching engine 210. The dynamic attack detection module 230 transmits the filtering result to a main CPU 400 through a PCI 300 if filtering the dynamic attack is completed. Then, a main CPU 400 transmits a response policy based on the transmitted filtering result to a response engine 220 through the PCI 300 and the dynamic attack detection module 230 to block an abnormal packet.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a multiple host-based network security device and a method for processing packet data using the network security device. The multiple host-based network security device of the present invention comprises at least two individual hosts in a single host system. Each of the individual hosts comprises individual resources such as a central processing unit (CPU) and a memory, and performs a different task in a single host system. The network security device comprises a packet policy module for providing a packet classification policy such that packet data are sent properly to the individual hosts, and a packet processing unit for sending the packet data to a relevant individual host according to the packet classification policy and providing services or blocking the packet data in accordance with packet checking results performed in the individual hosts. Thus, the data processing performance can be improved and the packet data can be stably checked.

Abstract: A media sensing method of a media dispenser is disclosed capable of discriminating various media and accurately discriminating whether a media is normal by using the least sensors. The media sensing method of a media dispenser includes: setting an initial reference range for width and thickness of a media; comparing the initial reference range and a reference range of a currently discharged media; and variably setting a new initial reference range on the basis of the comparison value, thereby discriminating whether media is normal or abnormal. Accordingly, without using an additional sensor, a cost in manufacturing the media dispenser can be reduced, an error caused by various environmental conditions or a deflection taking place in setting sensors can be effectively prevented, a multi-media overlap can be accurately discriminated, and the thickness of discharged multimedia can be precisely measured.

In the security method based on the security system that has a firewall for blocking malicious access to a corresponding network, a network intrusion prevention system for blocking intrusion into the network and server systems including a mail server and a File Transfer Protocol (FTP) server, the server systems transmit information on an intruding system, which has transmitted harmful traffic, to the network intrusion prevention system at the time of detecting the harmful traffic. The network intrusion prevention system blocks the access of the harmful traffic based on the information transmitted from the server systems.
