  • Patent number: 10153678
Abstract: Linear actuator, where a reversible electric motor (20) through a transmission (21) drives a non-self-locking spindle (22), by means of which an adjustment element (24) secured against rotation can be moved axially for adjusting an element connected thereto such as a backrest section in a bed. The actuator further comprises a quick release (27) for disengagement of the adjustment element (24) from the electric motor (20) and the part of the transmission (21) extending from the electric motor (20) to the quick release (27), such that the spindle (22) is rotated under the load on the adjustment element (24). Further, the actuator comprises brake means for controlling the speed of the adjustment element (24), when the quick release (27) is activated.

  • Patent number: 10123613
Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved height adjustable table which can assist and motivate the user to use the height adjustable table in a manner which increases health, calorie burn and well-being. This is done by logging how long the table has been in a standing and/or sitting range. The log can be used to calculate the calories burned during use. In another embodiment the log can be used to remind the user of the table to change position during the use of the table.

  • Patent number: 10004326
Abstract: The invention relates to a supporting frame with a base unit comprising a compartment at least for partial reception of the housing of the lifting column (79) and a cross member (74) for mounting on the base unit (59). The supporting frame comprises a locking element (94), which when placed in-a locked position exerts a squeezing force between the base unit (59), the lifting column housing and the cross member (74), by which the lifting column housing and the cross member (74) are fixed in the base unit (59). The supporting frame further comprises means for retaining the locking element in the locked position. The lifting columns are of the type, which comprises telescopically arranged profiles with an upper and lower end to which upper end a housing is secured.

  • Patent number: 9974704
Abstract: Adjustable article of furniture comprising at least one adjustable element and furnished with an actuator system comprising at least one electrically driven linear actuator with an electrical motor and an electrical controller with an operation device, wherein the system in equipped with a battery pack for operating the system during mobile situations, where a mains supply is not readily available. The battery pack is equipped with a frontend, which allows for the battery pack to be retrofitted on existing actuator systems, without compromising the functionality of the actuator system in connection with charging of the battery. Moreover, the frontend is adapted to facilitate continued viewing of remaining power on the battery pack even though the technology of the battery pack is replaced, e.g. from lead battery to lithium ion battery.

  • Patent number: 9925103
Abstract: A communication system for exchanging data between an actuator system and an external device, e.g. an operation where the communication system in the form of a gateway and a codex interprets the information in the bidirectional data stream and communicates the information on both sides. The communication system is furthermore provided with an RFID circuit integrated in a handset. The RFIC circuit can communicate information about the gateway's unique identification, also known as an MAC-address. This achieves easy connection of an external device to the actuator system without having to enter data manually.

  • Patent number: 9861543
Abstract: A communication system for exchanging data between an actuator system and an external device, e.g. an operation where the communication system under the form of a gateway and a transcoder interprets the information in a bidirectional stream of data and distributes the information to both ends. The communication system is furthermore provided with a logger function, where the signals that are sent out to both sides of the gateway, are stored in a memory, so that the actions and signals that lead to an alteration on the actuator can later be reconstructed.

  • Patent number: 9859774
Abstract: A linear actuator especially for adjustable furniture comprises a spindle (16) with a spindle nut (16a) for bringing about the adjustment of the article of furniture. At the end of the spindle (16) there is a bearing (17) for mounting of this in the actuator. The spindle/spindle nut (16,16a) is driven by an electric motor (27) through a transmission (28). For preventing accidents and/or damage during the adjustment of the article of furniture the actuator is equipped with a squeeze protection based on a piezo element (22). This piezo element (22) is arranged in connection with the bearing (17) for registering the forces or deflections of the forces affecting the spindle (16). In that the piezo element (22) has a through-going hole for the spindle the mounting of the piezo element (22) is simplified and further it has turned out that a particularly good signal/noise ratio is obtained.

  • Patent number: 9784349
Abstract: A linear actuator includes a back fixture formed of a first part, a second part, and a plastic bearing, the first part connecting with the second part, grooves are disposed inside the first part and the second part, and extra structures are disposed outside the plastic bearing. The plastic bearing is secured inside the first part and the second part with the grooves and extra structures. The back fixture can be directly fitted onto a bed frame by applying a certain force to make an elastic deformation of this back fixture, thereby accelerating the installation of the actuator. This not only significantly reduces the noise caused by the connecting portion during the operation of the actuator, but also reduces the wearing of connecting parts, thereby significantly extending maintenance-free life.

  • Publication number: 20170258240
Abstract: Linear dual actuator for lying or sitting furniture having at least two sections (2,3), which with one end is rotatably embedded in the article of furniture and where each section (2,3) with an arm (5,7) secured to a pivot shaft (4,6) can be adjusted by means of the linear dual actuator. The dual actuator comprises a housing (8) with a drive at each end, which comprises an electric motor (11), which through a transmission (12) is in driving connection with a spindle (13). On the spindle (13) is arranged an activation element (14) with a spindle nut in engagement with the spindle (13), where the activation element (14) can be brought into engagement with the arm (5,7) for adjusting the sections (2,3). In case of power failure there is the problem that the back rest and leg rest section cannot be lowered to a plane level, which can make the bed uncomfortable or completely impossible to sleep in.
