    Abstract: In a pointing device for electronic equipment, the equipment includes a casing and a receiving space defined by the casing, and the pointing device includes a sensor unit, a column, and a joystick. The sensor unit is disposed in the receiving space. The column is disposed on the sensor unit, and is swingable relative to the sensor unit. The sensor unit is used to detect swinging state of the column. The joystick is mounted on the column, and is movable relative to the column between first and second positions. The joystick projects from an outer surface of the casing when at the first position, and is accommodated in the receiving space when at the second position. Thus, the joystick can be accommodated in the receiving space to avoid inadvertent actuation so as to enhance the convenience of carrying the electronic equipment.
