Abstract: A light guide device and a light guide plate using the same are provided. The light guide device has a first surface, a second surface, and a bottom surface. The first surface, the second surface, and the bottom surface define the internal part of the light guide device. The bottom surface has a cavity. When a light source in the cavity generates light, the light from the internal part of the light guide device is emitted via the first surface.
Abstract: A digital camera module includes a lens assembly, a magnetic field generator, a shell and radially magnetized magnets. The magnetic field generator has a moving direction and surrounds the lens assembly. The shell covers the lens assembly. The radially magnetized magnets are disposed separately in the moving direction and at two sides of the magnetic field generator.
Abstract: A driving module utilized for driving a print head maintenance station. The print head maintenance station includes a capper and a wiper. The driving module includes: a first rotation unit having a first surface corresponding to a first profile; a second rotation unit having a second surface corresponding to a second profile; a first connection module for moving the capper according to the first profile of the first rotation unit; a second connection module for moving the wiper according to the second profile of the second rotation unit; a transfer module coupled to the first connection module and the second connection module; and a motor coupled to the transfer module for driving the first and second rotation units to rotate simultaneously according to the transfer module.
Abstract: A follower roller mounting mechanism for a paper feeding apparatus is provided, which has at least one follower roller and a shaft passing through the follower roller. The follower roller mounting mechanism includes a base having a trough and a hole on a top surface thereof. The trough has a back wall, a bottom wall, and two opposite lateral walls. The bottom wall and the back wall are adjacent to each other. Each of the lateral walls has a sliding slot. The shaft is disposed inside the base passing through the trough via the sliding slot for making the follower roller protruding from the top surface through the hole. An elastic element is disposed between the shaft and the back wall for generating elastic force, pushing the shaft sliding along the sliding slot, and making the follower roller to constantly rise above the top surface through the hole.
Abstract: A system and method for producing a character are provided. A remote control device having a plurality of numeral keys and capable of inputting a plurality of values is used to issue a command representing one of the plurality of values and composed of a combination of the plurality of numeral keys to an interactive equipment. In the interactive equipment, a reference table is provided to provide a relationship between the plurality of values and a plurality of characters each corresponding to one thereof. By referring to the reference table, the value corresponding to the command can be converted to a corresponding character among the plurality of characters. Finally, the character can be displayed and thus produced on the interactive equipment.
Abstract: An apparatus for detecting front edge of a document and determining home position of an image scanning module has a detecting light source near an outlet end of a document feeding track and aligned with an image reader of the image scanning module. The detecting light source emits a detecting light to be received by the image reader. By detecting whether the detecting light is received by the image reader, the front edge of the document can be detected to activate the image scanning module. And it can also determine whether or not the image scanning module has arrived on a home position.
Abstract: An electronic device and short-circuited dipole antenna thereof are provided. The short-circuited dipole antenna comprises a first radiation unit, a second radiation unit and a short-circuited unit. The short-circuited unit comprises a first terminal connected to the first radiation unit, and a second terminal connected to the second radiation unit.
Abstract: A tuning element having a second inclined plane interacts with a pushing element having a first inclined plane to accomplish adjusting the position of a printhead. The tuning element rotates relative to a printhead carrier and produces displacement in a second direction and the second inclined plane of the tuning element then pushes the first inclined plane of the pushing element and produces displacement in a first direction in a linear way corresponding to the rotation of the tuning element. Meanwhile, the printhead closely in contact with the pushing element also produces displacement in the first direction so that the tuning apparatus is endowed with highly accurate and linear adjustability.
Abstract: A palm rest with a detachable assembly mechanism attaches to a keyboard via the detachable assembly mechanism. The palm rest has a shell and at least one assembly mechanism. The shell forms a concave portion. The assembly mechanism has a base and a joint arm. The base is disposed in the concave portion of the shell. One end of the joint arm is pivotally mounted on the base so that the joint arm is rotatable and retractable in order to be received in the concave portion. The other end of the joint arm can extend outside the shell for assembly with the keyboard.
Abstract: A suction device includes a sucking member having a connecting body connected integrally to a flexible disc body that is disposed under an upright sleeve, a connecting member disposed in the sleeve and connected to the connecting body, an operating member connected to a pivot rod extending through the sleeve, and a cam body accommodated in a cam-accommodating space in the connecting member and pivotable together with the pivot rod. The operating member is operable so as to pivot the pivot rod and the cam body such that an assembly of the connecting member and the connecting body is pulled upwardly by the cam body, thereby forming a vacant space between a central portion of the disc body and a supporting surface to which a peripheral portion of the disc body is attached sealingly.
Abstract: Multi-mode computer systems and operating methods thereof. The computer system comprises a storage device and a boot program. The storage device includes a single disk partition comprising a first operating system corresponding to PC mode, and a second OS image and a file system image corresponding to media mode. If an instruction for PC mode is received, the boot program loads the first OS on the computer system, enabling the computer system to operate in PC mode. If an instruction for media mode is received, the boot program starts the computer system according to the second OS image and the file system image, enabling the computer system to operate in media mode.
Abstract: A method for controlling ON/OFF of LED in a scanner which replaces CCFL with LED as a light source is provided so as to solve the problem of excessively long warm-up time of CCFL in the prior art. Meanwhile, to achieve intermittent heat dissipation, LED is switched ON/OFF according to the frequency of the scanner receiving optical signals.

Abstract: A wireless signal receiving apparatus for receiving a wireless signal is disclosed. The wireless signal receiving apparatus includes a main body and a clamping device. The main body includes a signal processing module installed in a housing of the main body for processing the wireless signal. The clamping device is fixedly coupled to the housing for providing a force in order to fix an object between the housing and the clamping device, thereby clamping the wireless signal receiving apparatus upon the object.
Abstract: A lighting module adapted for use in a keypad device includes a circuit substrate board, a transparent light guide plate stacked on the circuit substrate board, and at least one light emitting diode embedded in the light guide plate and connected electrically to the circuit substrate board. By having the light emitting diode embedded in the light guide plate, the overall thickness of the lighting module can be reduced to permit miniaturization.

Abstract: Thermal printing apparatus and printing methods thereof are disclosed. One of the proposed printing methods includes: providing an n-bit value corresponding to a pixel, wherein a color level of the pixel ranges from 0 to 2n?1; determining a total print time corresponding to a target bit of the n-bit value according to the bit significance of the target bit; and if the target bit is of a predetermined value, intermittently driving a heating unit to heat a ribbon within the print time corresponding to the target bit.
Abstract: The present invention provides a scanning table and a scanning device of the same. The scanning table comprises a table surface and two sides. The scanning device comprises a first transparent case provided on the table surface, a second transparent case provided on one side and adjacent to the first transparent case, a first scanning module provided inside the first transparent case, a second scanning module provided inside the second transparent case, and a transporting device for operatively connecting the first scanning module and the second scanning module with each other and scanning the left and right inner pages of the book. With the above arrangement, the user can read on the table while easily scan the contents of the book without damaging the book.
Abstract: A broadband dipole antenna includes a dielectric substrate, a first radiating portion, a second radiating portion, a substantially U-shaped or V-shaped feed gap, and two feed points. The feed gap is located in-between the first radiating portion and the second radiating portion. The two feed points are located in the first radiating portion and the second radiating portion, respectively, and separated by the feed gap.

Abstract: A method for dynamically handling the data path of a wireless IP phone is provided. The method comprises establishing a first communication link between the wireless IP phone and a wireless local area network (WLAN), establishing a second communication link between the wireless IP phone and a general packet radio service (GPRS) network, establishing a conversation session between the wireless IP phone and a second IP phone via a voice over internet protocol (VoIP) through the first or second communication link, determining whether the data path of the conversation session passes through the first or the second communication link according to a signal strength of the first communication link, and exchanging a plurality of packets of the conversation session through the data path.
