Abstract: In a pants-type disposable diaper, an outer covering sheet formed of a nonwoven fabric has front and back parts to be positioned on front and back sides of a wearer, and a middle part between the front and back sides. An absorbent body is attached on the outer covering sheet from the front part to the back part, to absorb excrement from the wearer. Sheet members are bonded on the front and back parts, and end portions of the absorbent body are positioned and fixed between the sheet members and the outer covering sheet. In the disposable diaper, since the sheet member is a laminated sheet of plastic film and nonwoven fabric, stretching of the sheet member is suppressed and it is possible to bring the absorbent body in close contact with the crotch region of the wearer when putting the disposable diaper on the wearer.

Abstract: [Object] To provide an absorbent article and an absorbent body having excellent absorption performance. [Solution] An absorbent body of the present invention is an absorbent body including a water absorbent resin powder, and the absorbent body includes a layer having formed at least partially thereon a diffusion region where a diffusibility improvement material having an under-load liquid passing rate of 15 seconds or less is disposed.

Abstract: An absorbent article has a lower absorbing core and an upper absorbing core. Each absorbing core includes a liquid-holding material and a liquid-permeable core-wrapping sheet. The liquid-holding material is covered by the liquid-permeable core-wrapping sheet, but it also has an exposed portion not covered by the liquid-permeable core-wrapping sheet. The exposed portions of the lower absorbing core and the upper absorbing core face each other and the liquid-holding materials are connected with each other at the exposed portion. Because the liquid-holding material of the upper absorbing core is in direct contact with the liquid-holding material of the lower absorbing core, the area provides a path through which liquid flows smoothly from the upper absorbing core to the lower absorbing core. Also, because the upper and lower liquid-holding materials are covered by the core-wrapping sheets, deformation of the liquid-holding materials is prevented.

Abstract: An absorbent article has an absorbing core and a liquid-permeable second sheet disposed on the absorbing core. The absorbing core includes a liquid-holding material and a liquid-permeable core-wrapping sheet. The core-wrapping sheet covers the liquid-holding material, but a portion of a top-side surface of the liquid-holding material is exposed. The second sheet contacts the liquid-holding material at the exposed portion. The second sheet is placed in direct contact with the cellulose fibers of the liquid-holding material, and liquid permeates from the second sheet into the liquid-holding material. Also, deformation of the liquid-holding material is prevented by the hydrophilic core-wrapping sheet covering the liquid-holding material.

Abstract: The present invention provides an absorbent article that allows full use of the absorption performance of an absorbent polymer without inhibiting the swelling of the absorbent polymer due to the absorption of excreted body fluids, and that can be biodegraded with efficiency when it is disposed after use by burial in the soil or the like. The absorbent article includes at least one inner bag-like member, an absorbent polymer, and an outer bag-like member. The inner bag-like member is formed into a thin and substantially sheet-like form of a sheet having biodegradability and fluid permeability, and includes multiple accommodation spaces that are detached from the outside and separated from one another. The absorbent polymer has biodegradability and a substantially granular or powder form and is contained in each of the accommodation spaces in the inner bag-like member so as to be freely movable within the accommodation spaces.

Abstract: In an absorbent part of an absorbent product, super absorbent materials located between two sheets in an absorbent area swell by absorption of moisture of excrement, and spaces extending in a longitudinal direction from an opening, which is formed at a portion of upper absorbent layer facing the crotch region of a wearer, are formed between a non-absorbent area where the super absorbent materials do not exist and the upper absorbent layer and between the non-absorbent area and a lower absorbent layer. In the absorbent product, through the spaces, moisture of excrement in the second excretion and later can be quickly diffused over a wide area along the longitudinal direction of the absorbent part, and the moisture of excrement can be absorbed in a wide area of the absorbent part. As a result, it is possible to maintain high absorbing ability in multiple excretions in the absorbent product.

Abstract: An accumulating apparatus (4) has an upper arm (51) in which a plurality of upper rollers (511) are arranged, and a lower arm (52) in which a plurality of lower rollers (521) are arranged. An upper gear (61) is fixed to the upper arm and a lower gear (62) is fixed to the lower arm. The upper gear is engaged with the lower gear so that the upper arm and the lower arm are simultaneously moved in opposite directions with respect to a vertical direction. Therefore, when moving the lower arm in the vertical direction, influence of the weight of the lower arm is canceled by the weight of the upper arm, and a force to move the lower arm upward can be reduced. As the result, an air cylinder (63) for changing a distance between the upper arm and the lower arm can be downsized.

Abstract: A disposable diaper has an absorbent body, an outer covering sheet and two end holding sheets, and both end portions of the absorbent body are fixed between the end holding sheets and the outer covering sheet. Since a turndown portion of an upper end portion of the end holding sheet is bonded on an upper end portion of a first covering sheet, a waist covering portion has structure where the first covering sheet is laminated on the two-layered end holding sheet. Therefore, a thickness of the outer covering sheet can be reduced, while maintaining strength of the waist covering portion by appropriately selecting material of the end holding sheet, thereby to easily improve softness of the disposable diaper. Since an upper end of a second covering sheet is positioned below the turndown portion, softness and breathability in an area between the turndown portion and the second covering sheet is increased.

Abstract: An absorbent body of a diaper has a central absorbent core, a pair of side absorbent cores and a pair of side elastic members. The side elastic members lie left and right of a front portion of the central absorbent core. The side absorbent cores lie left and right of rear and middle portions of the central absorbent core. In the diaper, by contraction of the side elastic members, the side absorbent cores come into close contact with the insides of thighs of a wearer, and urine is prevented from leaking from leg circumferences. Since the side absorbent cores are positioned left and right of the rear and middle portions of the central absorbent core, portions of the wearer's leg circumferences in the vicinity of the front are not covered with the side absorbent cores, and interference with leg movement of the wearer is prevented.

Abstract: Each of first fastening tapes and second fastening tapes provided on both left and right sides of a disposable diaper has a first fastening part and a second fastening part which are away from each other. When putting the disposable diaper on a slender wearer, the second fastening tape is fastened on an attachment part of main body part so as to be laid over the first fastening tape. In the second fastening tape, since an intermediate area is provided between the first fastening part and the second fastening part, a total area of fastening parts can be reduced. Since a distance between an outer edge of the first fastening part and an inner edge of the second fastening part is made larger than a width of a tape base at the intermediate area in the first fastening tape, the second fastening tape can be easily fastened.

The present invention provides an absorber comprising, a crosslinked polymer mainly composed of acrylic acid and having carboxyl groups thereof being at least partially neutralized as a water-absorbent resin powder, and an antibacterial cationic surfactant, wherein the antibacterial cationic surfactant is a compound neutralized with an acid having an acid dissociation constant pKa in water at 25 degrees centigrade in a range from 3.0 to 5.5.

Abstract: To provide an absorber that has a high absorption speed, is unlikely to cause a liquid to remain on a skin-contacting surface, has excellent dry feeling, and is unlikely to cause excreted body fluid to return, and a water-absorbent resin powder that can be suitably used in the absorber. A water-absorbent resin powder of the present invention is characterized by meeting the following requirements (a) to (d): (a) a bulk density: 0.45 g/ml to 0.62 g/ml; (b) an absorption speed by a vortex method: 20 seconds to 50 seconds; (c) a liquid-passing speed under load: 10 seconds or less; and (d) a moisture absorption blocking ratio: 5% or less. An absorber of the present invention uses the water-absorbent resin powder of the present invention. An absorbent article of the present invention includes the absorber of the present invention.
