Abstract: A die apparatus including a first die element, a plurality of second die elements, a plurality of actuators, and a controller is provided. Each of the plurality of actuators is mounted to one of the plurality of second die elements. The controller is programmed to activate the actuators to contact and compress portions of a blank disposed between the die elements at separate pressures to influence microstructure forming for one of a geometry transition region, a deformation region, and a joining region. One of the separate pressures applied to one of the portions of the blank may be approximately 5 N/mm2 or less to form a soft strength zone. The pressure of approximately 5 N/mm2 or less may be applied to the one of the portions of the blank for approximately one to two seconds.

Abstract: Text independent speaker recognition models can be utilized by an automated assistant to verify a particular user spoke a spoken utterance and/or to identify the user who spoke a spoken utterance. Implementations can include automatically updating a speaker embedding for a particular user based on previous utterances by the particular user. Additionally or alternatively, implementations can include verifying a particular user spoke a spoken utterance using output generated by both a text independent speaker recognition model as well as a text dependent speaker recognition model. Furthermore, implementations can additionally or alternatively include prefetching content for several users associated with a spoken utterance prior to determining which user spoke the spoken utterance.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including a method for determining network measurements. In some aspects, a method includes receiving, by a first aggregation server and from each of multiple client devices, encrypted impression data. A second aggregation server receives, from each of at least a portion of the multiple client devices, encrypted conversion data. The first aggregation server and the second aggregation server perform a multi-party computation process to decrypt the encrypted impression data and the encrypted conversion data. The first output mode is selected from a collection of the first output mode and a second output mode. The second output mode is selected in response to the computing device being in a second state and is for visually outputting at least the portion of the information and not audibly outputting the at least portion of the information. Abstract: A self-healing adhesive composition comprising a homogeneous mixture of: (i) a self-healing polymer containing hydrogen bonding groups or long-chain alkyl groups, wherein said hydrogen bonding groups comprise hydrogen bond donating groups and hydrogen bond accepting groups, and wherein said long-chain alkyl groups contain at least four carbon atoms; and (ii) an extrudable adhesive polymer base having a curable property and no self-healable property; wherein component (i) is present in the self-healing adhesive composition in an amount of at least 10 wt % and up to 70 wt % of the total of components (i) and (ii). Also described herein is a method of sealing a space (e.g., crack, gap, or pores) in a substrate material by at least partially filling the space with the self-healing adhesive composition described above and permitting the self-healing adhesive composition to harden over time without applying an external stimulus to induce hardening.

Abstract: Distributed security key management for protecting roaming data via a trusted platform module is performed by systems that include first and second processors, and first and second respective hardware security modules. The first security module encrypts a security key using a public key from the second security module, and the encrypted security key is provided to the second security module. A virtual machine (VM) executed by the first processor has a first virtual security module instance having state data that includes a storage key encrypting VM virtual disk data and that is encrypted with the security key. When a transfer condition is determined, the VM is transferred and executed by the second processor, using a second virtual security module instance, based on decrypting the security key by the second security module using a private key and decrypting the state data for the second virtual security module using the security key.

Abstract: One example method includes identifying a source of a performance issue in a virtualized environment. Telemetry data is collected relative to the flow of a request/response in the virtualized environment. The collected telemetry data can be compared to normal data. A probability can be generated for each layer to identify which of the layers is the most likely source of the performance issue. The layers can be prioritized based on their probability. The most likely layer or virtual machine is recommended for analysis to determine the cause of the performance issue.
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) employing different radio access technologies (RATs) concurrently provides the UE the opportunity to connect with different RAT-based base stations and concurrently transmit data thereto. A power-sharing control mechanism provides for sharing and allocating transmit power to multiple active RATs at the UE based on a priority designation of the data type associated with transmissions scheduled for each of the multiple active RATs. The power-sharing control mechanism provides efficient transmit power sharing between multiple transmit active RATs such that allocation of power to one RAT does not adversely affect the performance or coverage of the remaining RATs.

Abstract: Methods are provided for emulating disease in a microfluidic system with a releasable interfacial film component that allows communication between non-gel aqueous solutions to emulate natural physiological conditions. The systems and methods emulate cellular communication in a disease state in a more accurate aqueous environment and provide data on the interaction between the cells that can be used to develop a treatment for a subject in need. The systems and methods also can be used to assess the effect of a particular treatment, such as a drug therapy, radiation therapy, or a combination thereof, for example. The systems and methods can show how a particular therapy is affected by any of several known factors including, but not limited to, the sex of the subject, the age of the subject, hereditary factors or other genetic predispositions, as well as perhaps other physiological states of the subject, or a combination thereof.
