Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for tracking a passive controller system using an active sensor system within a mixed-reality environment. The passive controller system includes a body configured to be held in a hand of a user, as well as a plurality of retroreflectors that collectively provides at least 180 degrees of reflecting surface for reflecting a radar signal in at least 180 degrees of spherical range when the passive controller system is positioned within a predetermined distance from a source of the radar signal and with an orientation that is within the at least 180 degrees of spherical range relative to the source of the radar signal. Signals transmitted to the passive controller and reflected back from the passive controller are used to calculate the position and orientation of the passive controller system relative to the active sensor system.

Abstract: An assembly having a protective part including a cap or a plug, a fiber optic component adapted to mate with the protective part and a lanyard. The lanyard has a first end attached to the protective part and a second end attached to the fiber optic component. One of the first and second ends of the lanyard includes a loop defined by a loop member. The loop has a plurality of undulations. The undulations are moveable between a first state and a second state. The undulations are at least partially straightened in a circumferential orientation as the undulations move from the first state to the second state. An inner cross-dimension of the loop is larger when the undulations are in the second state as compared to the first state, and wherein a resiliency of the loop biases the undulations toward the first state.

Abstract: A three-way switch associated with an entry point barrier may provide a security system with information regarding a position of the entry point barrier as it moves along a path of travel. As the entry point barrier moves, the three-way switch may come into proximity with an external object, and the three-way switch may indicate to the security system that a circuit associated with the three-way switch has been closed. The security system may determine that the entry point barrier is in a given position, and one or more security system policies associated with the given position may be activated.

Abstract: A hinge having dual axes includes two hinge members each having a hinge leaf and one or more knuckles, a pivot pin received in a longitudinally extending bore in each knuckle, each pivot pin also received in one of two apertures in one or more connector plates that interconnect the hinge members, and one or more springs biasing the hinge members toward a closed position, so that the knuckles are rotatably disposed adjacent to each other, each hinge member independently rotatable about one of two pivot axes, and only a single seam is presented between the two knuckles as the hinge members move between open and closed configurations. In one embodiment a connector incorporating the connecting plates covers and hides the springs from view.

Abstract: A method of treating a wound may include topically administering a statin composition including a statin selected from atorvastatin, fluvastatin, lovastatin, pitavastatin, pravastatin, rosuvastatin, simvastatin, or combination thereof. The statin composition may be administered in an ointment, powder, or liquid format. The method may also include topically administering one or more antimicrobial drugs and/or naltrexone.

Abstract: A tangible, non-transitory, machine-readable medium, including machine-readable instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to identify an optimal machine configuration and a number of optimal machines to complete a job. The one or more processors may further dynamically generate a matrix of available equivalent machine configurations and a corresponding number of machines for each available equivalent machine configuration and provide a preferred machine configuration and a number of machines having the preferred machine configuration for completing the job, where the preferred machine configuration comprises the optimal machine configuration or a machine configuration from the dynamically generated matrix.

Apparatuses, systems, computer implementable methods, and non-transient computer storage media storing instructions, implementing the disclosed concepts, principles and algorithms are disclosed. Gestures for systems using eye gaze and head tracking that can be used with augmented, mixed or virtual reality, mobile or desktop computing are disclosed. Use of periods of limited activity and consecutive user actions in orthogonal axes is disclosed. Generation of command signals based on start and end triggers is disclosed. Methods for coarse as well as fine modification of objects are disclosed.

In one example, a table support for a mobile imaging system includes a fixture comprising a frame and a plurality of posts coupled to the frame, a table interface comprising a set of table flanges configured to be attached to a patient table of the mobile imaging system and a set of complementary table flange acceptors coupled to a top surface of the frame of the fixture, and a floor interface including a set of floor brackets removably coupleable to a set of floor panels configured to be attached to a floor of a unit configured to house the mobile imaging system, each floor bracket coupled to two respective posts of the plurality of posts.

Abstract: A control device may include a processor may include a core, a timer peripheral, and a peripheral direct memory access controller. The processor may include a receive port coupled to a communication port of the reporting device via a communication line. The control device may include a timer peripheral that can generate an enable signal and a timing signal, and a buffer circuit that may include an enable port for the enable signal for enabling/disabling the buffer circuit, an input port for the timing signal, and an output port coupled to the communication line. The processor may enable/disable the buffer circuit to control the timing of data bit(s) transmission across the communication line by the reporting device. The peripheral direct memory access controller may store the data bit(s) in a receive buffer during the bit period, and the core may subsequently retrieve the data bit(s) from the receiver buffer.

Abstract: A three-dimensional memory device includes an alternating stack of insulating layers and electrically conductive layers, memory openings vertically extending through the alternating stack, memory opening fill structures located within a respective one of the memory openings, and a drain-select-level isolation structure. One of the insulating layers is a composite insulating layer including an insulating-material-containing sublayer consisting essentially of an insulating material and an etch stop dielectric material sublayer having a material composition that is different from the insulating material. The etch stop dielectric material sublayer can be employed as an etch stop structure during formation of the drain-select-level isolation structure through drain-select-level electrically conductive layers.

Abstract: A method for automatically categorizing groups of users in a social network, and using the categories to propose matches between groups or users and groups includes accessing content shared within a group in a social network application, processing the shared content with at least one machine learning model to determine labels for the content, determining categories for the group based on the labels for the content, accessing matching criteria for a user of the social network application, generating a match between the user and the group based on the matching criteria for the user and the categories for the group, supplying data indicative of the match to a client device of the user, receiving a match acceptance from the client device, and in response to receiving the match acceptance, providing the user access to the group in the social network application.

Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods for generating virtual account-linked cards are described. A virtual account-linked card may be generated in response to a determination that a physical account-linked card has been forgotten at a card reader and ingested by the card reader. A virtual account-linked card may be restricted such that it can only be used to execute a transaction with authorized transaction partners identified in a database.

Abstract: A system and method for establishment of a universal, secure identity for online communications, interactions, and exchanges that uniquely associates an image, sound, or other digital asset with a person's identity using non-fungible tokens (NFTs). A digital asset is stored on a blockchain as an NFT, which uniquely and immutably associates the digital asset with the account owning that digital asset, thereby establishing a unique, secure personal identifier (a “personal non-fungible token” or PNFT) of the person owning that account for online communications and interactions. Links to the PNFT (also herein called “calls to action” or CTAs) can be customized via an online platform such that interaction with a given link or type of link initiates automated actions.

Abstract: A cooling system drains oil from low side heat exchangers to vessels and then uses compressed refrigerant to push the oil in the vessels back towards a compressor. Generally, the cooling system can operate in any number and combination of three different modes of operation: a normal mode, an oil drain mode, and an oil return mode. During the normal mode, a primary refrigerant is cycled to cool one or more secondary refrigerants. As the primary refrigerant is cycled, oil from a compressor may mix with the primary refrigerant and become stuck in a low side heat exchanger. During the oil drain mode, the oil in the low side heat exchanger is allowed to drain into a vessel. During the oil return mode, compressed refrigerant is directed to the vessel to push the oil in the vessel back towards a compressor.

Abstract: A method of generating images of a specimen that includes triggering a source of electromagnetic radiation to emit a beam of electromagnetic radiation along an axis through a tissue specimen and towards an imaging detector, generating at least one image with the received beam at the imaging detector, and superimposing, into or adjacent the at least one image by a system controller, a set of graphical indications that convey portions of a patient's body from which respective portions of the specimen were assumed to have been excised.

Abstract: An electronic apparatus activation control apparatus includes a communication unit and a data processing unit. The communication unit is configured to perform communication via a network. The data processing unit is configured to output an activation instruction to a network apparatus connected to the network through the communication unit. The data processing unit recognizes a state transition from a non-active state to an active state of the electronic apparatus activation control apparatus and outputs the activation instruction to the network apparatus on the basis of recognition of the state transition.
